PartyCasino & Sports Interaction Launch in Alberta Market
PartyCasino and Sports Interaction have joined the growing number of regulated online gambling sites to go live in Alberta.
The casino and sportsbook brands are owned by Entain, the behemoth behind some of the largest online gaming sites. However, with regulated gambling now go in Alberta, Entain is wasting no time in launching its products for local residents.

Entain’s Canada love affair continues
Entain already has skin in the game in the newly-regulated Alberta gaming market. BetMGM, of which Entain holds co-ownership, was one of the first brands to go live in Alberta earlier this month.
It’s been over a year since the iGaming Alberta Act (Bill 48) passed. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) oversees licensed online casinos and sportsbooks.
This isn’t the first rodeo for Sports Interaction, either. The online sportsbook went live in Ontario in 2022. It became the third Entain brand to relaunch in Ontario following the province’s move toward licensed online gambling.
PartyCasino one of the world’s biggest online casinos
PartyCasino already enjoys a sizeable global presence where online casinos are legal. It was one of the early pioneers in online casino gaming in Europe, and entered the NJ market in 2013 as U.S. states began to go regulated.
Players in Alberta should get their hands on a range of top-performing slots, too. Major slot developers like Hacksaw Gaming and Pragmatic Play have also received AGLC licenses this month as they make early moves into the market.
Alberta ‘exciting next step for regulated gaming’
Alberta’s move into state-regulated gaming has been swift. Over 28 licenses have been issued or promised, with more to come.
Entain is obviously keen to exploit what could be another lucrative Canadian market.

PartyCasino competing with Caesars
PartyCasino immediately finds itself competing with some major rival brands in the regulated Alberta space. In addition to BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, and bet365 all went live in July as the market doors opened.
Alberta’s government has laid out a clear strategy regarding regulated iGaming in the province.
Ultimately, it’s meant as a pivot away from unregulated, “grey market” gaming that’s existed in Canada for decades.
According to Alberta’s government website, 20% of iGaming revenue will be retained by the province. First Nations and social responsibility programs will also receive a portion.
