The Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes have combined for 16 wins and one loss in the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs. It's no surprise that six players from these teams sit atop the Conn Smythe Trophy odds. Both clubs have already booked their ticket to the conference finals.
The latest Conn Smythe Trophy odds at DraftKings Sportsbook feature Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche (+200) atop the board. Carolina Hurricanes netminder Frederik Andersen (+450) and Avs defenseman Cale Makar (+950) round out the top three. Hurricanes forwards Taylor Hall (+1200) and Logan Stankoven (+1300) are listed next in odds to win the Conn Smythe.

Conn Smythe Trophy betting favorites
The Conn Smythe Trophy is awarded annually to the playoff MVP, usually a member of the winning team. In 2025, Sam Bennett became the first Florida Panther in NHL history to win the coveted award.
This year, we'll have a new pair of teams in the Stanley Cup Final, and the Conn Smythe Trophy odds feature a forward, a goalie, and a defenseman in the top three.
Here, we break down the betting favorites to win the Conn Smythe Trophy in June.
Nathan MacKinnon, +200
After failing to win Olympic gold with Canada in February, Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon is seeking redemption this spring. At +200, MacKinnon has a 33.33% implied probability to hoist the Conn Smythe Trophy next month.
The Avs won the Presidents' Trophy as the league's top team in the regular season, and they've picked up where they left off in the playoffs. Colorado swept the Los Angeles Kings in the first round before knocking off the Minnesota Wild in five games.
Through two rounds, MacKinnon is fifth in scoring with 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in nine games. After trailing 3-0 in the first period of Game 5 vs. the Wild, the Avs bounced back to clinch the series. MacKinnon netted the game-tying goal late in the third period before defenseman Brett Kulak notched the overtime winner.
MacKinnon and the Avalanche appear to be the strongest bets to win the Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup, respectively. They've both been unstoppable this season, and we're expecting the Avs to continue putting on a show in the next round.
Frederik Andersen, +450
Frederik Andersen has started (and won) all eight games for the Hurricanes this postseason. He's a clear favorite to win playoff MVP if the Hurricanes can find a way to win the Cup.
Andersen helped the Canes become the first team to sweep back-to-back series to begin the playoffs since the format was adopted in 1987. He has a sparkling .950 save percentage and a 1.12 goals-against average, though some might slight the competition he's faced in the lackluster Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers.
Carolina will have its toughest test in the conference finals when they square off against the Buffalo Sabres or Montreal Canadiens. Both teams have looked capable of putting together deep playoff runs this spring. A well-rested Carolina team will be favored to advance to the Stanley Cup Final, but Andersen will need to continue his red-hot run to secure eight more wins this spring.
Cale Makar, +950
It's a little surprising to see Makar listed third in DraftKings' Conn Smythe Trophy odds. He has only five points (four goals, one assist) in nine games this postseason.
Sitting 13th in points among defensemen is unusual territory for Makar, who put up 20 goals and 59 assists in the regular season. He routinely leads NHL blueliners in scoring and is already the Avs' franchise leader in points, goals, and assists among defensemen.
It's not impossible for Makar to dominate the next two rounds, but we prefer MacKinnon and Andersen in odds to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.
