The Detroit Pistons head to Cleveland for Game 6, aiming to avoid elimination after dropping three straight games and trailing 3-2 in the Eastern Conference semifinals series.
bet365 Sportsbook has the hometown Cavaliers as 4.5-point favorites, with the total set at 210.

Pistons vs. Cavaliers Game 6 betting analysis
The Cavaliers have taken control of this series, winning the last three games. In Game 5 in Detroit, the Cavs beat the Pistons 117-113 in overtime, giving the road team its first win of the series.
Harden's big game struggles
While we all know of James Harden’s struggles in closeout games in his career, this season is a little different. He does not have the spotlight on him as much as in the past, and Cleveland is balanced with the likes of Donovan Mitchell (26.3 ppg), Evan Mobley (16.6 ppg, 7.8 rpg), and Jarrett Allen (12.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg), who went for a double-double in Game 5 with 16 points and 10 boards.
Stopping Mitchell is key
The big question for the Pistons is, can they stop Donovan Mitchell in his house? In the last two games in Cleveland, he scored 43 points and 35 points, respectively, and has recorded at least 30 points in three of five playoff games at home.
Cunningham needs help
Another question is, can Cade Cunningham get some help? He has averaged 30 points per game in the playoffs and went for a game-high 39 points in Game 5. Tobias Harris is scoring 20.2 points in the playoffs, and did not shoot over 35.3% in either of the last two contests.
Duncan Robinson (12.2 ppg) has scored at least 15 points in three of four games he's played in this series, but missed the last game with a back injury and will be a game-time decision tonight.
Detroit needs more from Jalen Duren, but I wouldn't count on it. He had a breakout season but is only averaging 10.1 points and 8.3 rebounds in the playoffs. He has also been a defensive liability and didn't play in the fourth quarter or overtime of Game 5.
PlayersBest pick: Cavaliers -4.5 (-125)
The Cavs have all the momentum in this series, winning the last three games and covering the spread in each. They are undefeated in the playoffs at home this season at 6-0, where they covered the spread five times.
While the Cavs have been hot on their home floor in the playoffs, the Pistons have struggled on the road; they have lost four of their five road games, going 1-4 ATS.
Mitchell has never been to the conference finals, and Harden is 1-4 straight up in his last five Game 6’s. Still, that is in the past.
In the two home games of this series, the Cavs beat the Pistons by nine and seven points, respectively. Cleveland will continue to get it done at home in Game 6, winning and covering the spread, and advancing to the conference finals for the first time since 2018.
Pistons vs. Cavaliers player prop picks
Here are a couple of player props at BetMGM Sportsbook that we like for Game 6:
- Jarrett Allen 15+ points (+100) – He has scored at least 16 points in three of the last four games.
- Donovan Mitchell 30+ points (+150) - +150 is a value play for a player who has scored at least 35 points in each of the last two home games.
