MLB home run predictions today: June 9

All of the odds for the home run prop bets found here are from DraftKings Sportsbook

Hunter Goodman (+271)

Goodman is the catcher for the Colorado Rockies and a slugger who ranks tied for sixth in home runs across the Majors. He is swinging a hot bat with three home runs in the last five games.

The Rockies host the Chicago Cubs tonight, and with the thin air in Denver, balls often fly out of Coors Field. That's why oddsmakers always give the Rockies’ home games high totals, and tonight's is set at 12.5 runs.

Colin Rea is the starter for the Cubs tonight, and he has given up five home runs in his last five starts. On top of that, the Chicago pitching staff has given up the most home runs this season.

Take the good odds for Goodman to go yard.

Kyle Schwarber (+270)

Philadelphia Phillies designated hitter Schwarber leads the Majors with 23 home runs and went deep 57 times last season. He has not hit a home run in the last five games, but has a good chance to change that tonight with the Phillies on the road to take on the Toronto Blue Jays.

Dylan Cease is the starting pitcher for Toronto, and he missed a couple of starts due to a hamstring issue. He is back on the hill, and he has given up two home runs in each of his last two starts.

Cease is a power pitcher with a great fastball and ranks fourth in baseball in strikeouts. Schwarber is a great fastball hitter with a lot of power, which is why we like him to hit a home run tonight.

Nick Kurtz (+198)

Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz has 14 home runs on the season, three in his last two games, and went yard twice in the last game.

The Athletics are hosting the Milwaukee Brewers for a series at Las Vegas Ballpark. However, that will not be the venue when the Athletics move into their new stadium in Las Vegas in 2028

Las Vegas Ballpark is a very hitter-friendly stadium, and that is even more so considering the thin Las Vegas air, so home runs are aplenty. That may be a major understatement: in the series opener yesterday, a 15-14, 12-inning barnburner, the Brewers won, and the two teams combined for 11 dingers.

Robert Gasser will be the Brewers' starter in tonight’s game, and he has given up a home run in each of his last two starts.

Add the thin air, a hitter-friendly park, and Kurtz swinging a hot bat, we like him to hit go yard tonight.
