Spurs vs. Knicks Game 4 Prediction, Odds and Props: Spurs Look to Even Series

After losing the first two games of this series at home, the San Antonio Spurs won Game 3 at Madison Square Garden, not only getting back into the series but ending the New York Knicks' 13-game win streak. 

For Game 4, FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Knicks as a 2.5-point favorite with the total sitting at 216.5.

In Game 3, the Spurs beat the Knicks 115-111 with Victor Wembanyama stepping up with 32 points on solid shooting with eight rebounds. Every San Antonio starter had at least 11 points. 

For New York, Jalen Brunson led the way with 32 points, but the guard didn't shoot great and had five turnovers. OG Anunoby had 28 points. 

Still up 2-1 in the series, the top online sportsbooks have the Knicks as the favorites to win the series at -190, with the underdog Spurs at +160.

Spurs vs. Knicks Game 4 betting analysis 

Karl-Anthony Towns was looking like the early MVP of the series with two solid games before a quiet 11-point and eight-rebound Game 3. He has to get more involved in Game 4 and be more assertive in getting off shots. 

Get KAT involved 

Towns has gone scoreless in the fourth quarter of all three games of this series. Knicks head coach Mike Brown said he has to get more involved, and this is especially the case if Jalen Brunson’s shots aren’t falling.  

Brunson has to find his shot 

Jalen Brunson has played well in the playoffs, and while he has totaled 52 points in the last two games, he took 50 shots and made 18. His worst shooting came in Game 2, but the others stepped up, mainly KAT and Mikal Bridges, who combined for 40 points. They only combined for 13 in Game 3, so Brunson has to find his range. 

Keep the balance 

The Spurs had all five starters and Dylan Harper score in double-digits in Game 3, and they need to keep that balance. Wemby cannot do it all, and the supporting cast needs to play well again. 

Clean up the play 

The Knicks had costly turnovers and took some bad fouls, so they need to clean that up for Game 4. Their foul issues put the Spurs in the penalty for the last 9:14 of the game, and in a five-point loss, New York was outshot from the free-throw line 22-8 in the second half.

OK, so I have picked the Knicks in all three games of this series and will not sway from that. New York played sloppily in Game 3, KAT was rather quiet, and Brunson did not have a great shooting night. 

The Knicks will turn it around in Game 4 at home by playing with more urgency, getting KAT the rock more often, and cleaning up the sloppy play. The free-throw disparity will not happen again, and in another close game, New York will come out on top, covering and taking a 3-1 series lead.
