What is the USFL?
Fox Sports owns the United States Football League (USFL), which is a professional outdoor football league similar to the NFL. It will begin playing a 10-week season in April 2022. Daryl “Moose”, Johnston will serve as the Executive Vice President for Football Operations.

USFL Teams
The USFL has eight teams. They are divided into two divisions, the North Division or the South Division. Although they are all based in Birmingham, Alabama.
Each of these eight teams renamed their teams to reflect the colors and names of the teams in the 1980s USFL. This was permissible since the original trademarks were abandoned when the current league bought them. The teams are the New Jersey Generals, Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, Michigan Panthers, Philadelphia Stars, New Orleans Breakers, Tampa Bay Bandits, and Pittsburgh Maulers.
USFL 2022 Players
Each USFL team is allowed to keep a 38-man roster active and a seven man practice squad.
These players were acquired through a draft that took place over two days, Feb. 22 and 23, with each round dedicated to a specific position to help better divide the talent pool among the eight teams.
According to reports, the USFL will permit any player who graduated high school in 2020 or earlier to play in the league. In theory, players can opt out of college after two years and then join the USFL.

USFL Schedule
The regular season of the USFL will last ten weeks. There will be two Saturday games and two Sunday games throughout the season.
The top two teams in each division will meet on Saturday, June 25. The winners of these two matches ups will compete for the USFL title on July 3, 2022.
USFL 2022 Salary
Although the USFL’s coaches and players will be paid a fair amount for their work, it is still a small sum compared to the multi-million dollar NFL contracts.
Players on the Active Roster will be paid $45,000 per 10-game season or $4,500/game, while those on the Practice Squad will get $15,000 per 10-game season or $1,500/game.
In addition to the base salary, players will be eligible for an $850 bonus on every win and a $10,000 prize for the champion team.

USFL Lawsuit
Without legal drama, you can’t start a new league with an old name. Right now, the original USFL is suing for the latest version of USFL for a list of reasons including:
