United have been in good form in the league for the most part but have looked shaky in their cup performances with some questionable tactics being highlighted. Villa on the other hand are fresh off a big win and seem to be finding their footing this season.
The Villains will be feeling bullish about their chances on Saturday at Old Trafford but it will be no easy feat to topple United at the Theater of Dreams. A trickly fixture to call, no doubt, which is why my Premier League betting tips will help you to navigate your wagering this weekend.
United have looked excellent in the Premier League as they have now won 3 games on the spin. However, a midweek loss to West Ham in the League Cup will have reminded them just how competitive every team is in the EPL. United will be looking to get back on track with a 4th win in a row with Ronaldo on the hunt for even more goals than he has already bagged for his “new” side. United will have to be on form on Saturday if they are going to take 3 points off of a resilient Villa side.
Villa were very unlucky to lose on penalties midweek to Chelsea after they put on a worthy display at Stamford Bridge. The week before that Villa put Everton to the sword with a comfortable 3 – 0 win. The Villains have been coming into their own in e recent weeks after a tough start to the season. Dean Smith’s men will be up for this fixture at Old Trafford and with a bit of luck on their side they might just be able to pull off a bit of an upset on Saturday.
There is no sugar coating the fact that Villa have a horrendous record against United. In fact, Villa have not won a Premier League fixture against United since 2009. United have won 13 out of the last 15 fixtures between these two sides with 2 draws thrown in as well. A betting man would almost certainly pout their money on United to keep that record going.
While the record may not make for pretty reading if you are a Villa fan there are still some positives to take into this weekend’s match. Check out my statistical highlights below to help you make your betting decision on this fixture this weekend.
To be honest, I can’t see how Villa can take 3 points off United on Saturday. If you were going for an outlandish bet you might go for Villa to nick a point. With that being said, my Premier League betting tips can’t see anything other than a United win on Saturday.
United may have been rocky in their cup performances of late but they have looked very good in the league with Ronaldo leading from the front. They have got plenty of goals in them and that may just be shown at Old Trafford against Villa on Saturday. You can’t really look past a United win here.
Villa will be brimming with confidence after a comfortable win against Everton and a very narrow loss to Chelsea in the League Cup. If the Villains get the rub of the green they may be able to pull off an upset here but they will need all the help they can get to take all 3 point back to Villa Park.
