We head into this fixture with both sides trying to find some consistency in the league. United and Leicester have both had uninspiring results of late with both managers questioned for their tactics and setups in recent games.
A win here is equally important to both Rodgers and Solskjær as they seek to establish some coincidence and go forward momentum with their squads. This is usually an interesting fixture with goals a plenty and with the way these two sides have been defending I don’t see that changing on Saturday.
Leicester kicked their season off with a thrilling Community Shield win against Premier League holders Man City. They followed this up with 2 wins in their opening 3 games of the season. However, since then, Leicester have failed to win a single game in the league as they currently sit 13th in the league table. Rodgers has recently reiterated his commitment to this Leicester squad amid interest from Newcastle but he will need to change things up this weekend if his side are to battle to a win against United.
Man United could not have started the season much better, as the buzz around the club with the return of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo spurring the team to a few quality wins. In recent weeks, United have been unable to maintain that form as they have fallen to a loss against Aston Villa and an uninspiring draw against Everton. Coupled with a few below par performances in the Champions League and League Cup, United have not looked like themselves. They will be looking to get back on track with a win at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The overall head to head record between these two sides is heavily United favored. With that being said, Leicester have managed to win their last 2 fixtures against United. In the last 5 meetings the stats read: United 2 wins, Leicester 2 wins and 1 draw. This may not have too much impact on their upcoming fixture though as both teams are coming into this one in mediocre form.
My Premier League betting tips UK are not simply taken out of thin air. Instead, I like to take in as many statistical highlights as I can before making my final decision. You can check out some of the key highlights that I checked out below.
Quite frankly, this is a very tough fixture to call. While your average fan would tip United to win this one, it’s really not that simple. Both teams are coming into this on average form at best so my recommendation would be to pick out a betting market that gives you more value while staying more on the safe side. I would go for a score draw or for Jamie Vardy/Cristiano Ronaldo to score first.
In reality, this fixture could go either way, that is the beauty of this league. Leicester certainly have the firepower to take home all 3 points but United do as well. With that being said, both sides are coming into this one in poor form which means both teams are looking to simply not lose. This may not be enough for Ole to satisfy the United fans so the pressure and onus is certainly on him to get this one tactically spot on.
My Premier League betting tips for this one are leaning slightly towards United but you would not be far off to go for a draw in this one. Only time will tell how this match unfolds but one thing is for certain, there are going to be goals.
