If green is your thing, Mr Green could be one of your new favourite websites to visit. This casino heavily relies on the green colour scheme, but itβs easy on the eye and it made me feel at home from the start. Of course, I was curious to know whether the good things Iβd heard about Mr Green were accurate. I wanted to dig around in every corner I could find in this in-depth review. Iβm going to look through the game collection and see what the welcome bonus is like, along with covering how reliable the site is and whether it meets all the usual regulatory requirements in our bookmaker reviews.
I soon discovered that Mr Green is honest, transparent, and they are registered with all the right people β the UK Gambling Commission and eCOGRA. This Malta-based company is a multi-award winner too. They are open about customer reviews from Trustpilot on their home page, and I was impressed to see they have established Green Gaming to cover their approach to responsible gambling. Youβre going to be as impressed by their site as I am, Iβm sure.
If I could take Mr Green into the Lab to strip it down and see just what goes on under the powerful exterior, I would⦠and I have. I want to make sure you know what makes Mr Green better than many other operators. My Mr Green Experience Report is going to see whether this is the Best Betting Provider around today. Can it scoop our coveted PlayersBest awards?
The home page takes you through many of the best features of Mr Green. There are no games among those areas, although it doesnβt take long to find them. Iβll move on to those shortly. The main thing to remember here is that you can read about the various game types at the casino β and they have left no moon rock unturned in their quest to bring you a supreme array of games to play. Thatβs what we are here for, after all. So, with that brief overview supplying a few hints of the delights ahead, letβs dive into the site proper. You may not see Mr Green in a spacesuit, but his famous bowler hat does occasionally pop up.
There is little chance of getting lost as you navigate your way through the outer reaches of the sporting area at Mr Green. Iβve developed a sportsbook comparison for you here that makes it easier to compare this site to others you might be eyeing up. Iβll dive into more detail along the way, but for now, I want to highlight the superb search feature available at the very top of the sports section.
As a tennis fan, I looked for a few players and immediately found them along with odds for upcoming events. I can confirm this feature is a superb way to cut down your search time inside the sports arena. Thatβs something I donβt think all reviews cover.
While many casinos display their games on the home page, Mr Green takes a different β and arguably more responsible β tack. On my first visit to the casino, I saw a minimal design with the deposit match bonus front and centre. After that, future visits took me into the casino once Iβd already been there. Clearing my cookies meant I went back to the original landing page. Worth noting if you want to return to the landing page to read more. Is it the best online casino I’ve seen? Time will tell…
Yes, they do offer one, although you might think youβve seen better at other casinos. When you arrive, youβll see a clear display offering this deal:
That is all rolled into one neat package for your first deposit. I think itβs a good deal and most importantly itβs an easier deal to hit the wagering requirements for. I tend to be sceptical of casinos offering massive welcomes where the bonus terms are much more difficult to meet; and you’ll find out about this in our casino comparison.
Another thing I liked about this deal was the clarity and accessibility of the terms and conditions. These are listed right by the offer on the landing page. You donβt need to go to another screen to read them. Only new UK players can claim the offer, and you must opt in to get it. Nothing too complicated there, and the minimum deposit is just Β£20. If you deposited that amount, youβd receive another Β£20 on top in bonus funds.
The bonus and the free spins both carry a 35x wagering requirement. Mr Green is clear in stating that you are expected to bet the total deposit amount on slot games before you receive your bonus and those free spins for the Starburst slot. Our testing lab scientists found that you must use those within seven days of being given them once your initial bets are complete.
Since this is a UK site, Mr Green must abide by the rules laid out by the UK Gambling Commission. This means no access to casino games is granted unless and until youβve confirmed your age and identity. Fortunately, you donβt need to deposit anything to do this β just open an account and once youβre verified, you can play any games with demos available. The invitation to create an account is at the top of the site, shown as an orange button. This takes you into the account setup portion of your signup, followed by the verification and personal details areas. All quite straightforward and good to see.
Of course, seeking help is vital too. The Learn More About section of the menu is ideal if you want to know about any of the games or other areas of the site. When you are inside the casino or another similar area, youβll find the help centre inside the menu. This opens in another page and includes many basic areas to read about, such as:
You should also see a green speech bubble in the bottom right of your screen. Select it and the Mr Green bot pops up. This is a live chat window, and it answers any question you might type in there. You can choose to get in touch if the bot doesnβt do the job or you want to chat with a human. You can then select the live chat option and wait for a response. I liked the bot part of the site though as it can quickly resolve basic queries if you canβt find the info you need.
Accessing the casino, or sportsbook, or whichever part of the site you most like the look of, should be simple. And Iβm relieved to say it is. When youβre on the landing page, look for the three lines in the top left corner that look a bit like a volume control. Thatβs the site menu β I love that they tuck it out of the way to achieve a clean site design, so you only need to go through and use it when you want to. It helps keep the streamlined design that could easily become confusing if they hadnβt done that.
Now, you might be wondering whether you need to take off with a Mr Green app, or even just a Mr Green casino app for that part of the site. Fortunately, this site is much like a shuttle with all the workings hidden away on the inside. You donβt need to worry about how it all worksβ¦ just sit back and enjoy the ride. The same applies if youβd rather visit the Mr Green mobile site β you wonβt need any apps here. No updates, no bother, just good clean gaming or sports wagering whenever you want it. Once youβve opened an account at Mr Green, you need only remember that secure info to get into your account on any device or computer.
The website doesnβt include a banking page. However, it is a quick hop across to the help centre to find the deposit and withdrawal sections there, so thereβs no hassle involved. UK players can use an assortment of options, although these do not include credit cards owing to UK rules. The casino lists these methods for making a minimum deposit of Β£10, and I suspect the Mr Green PayPal option may prove popular for many:
As for withdrawals, I recommend you read through the full withdrawal process first. This covers most of the queries you might have. Withdrawals can be made in various ways, although you may find that some are unavailable to you. Whichever method you selected to deposit with shall be used for withdrawals, so remember that. The great news here is that the minimum withdrawal amount is a mere Β£10. That is refreshing to learn given the high levels set at many other casinos.
Every casino should adhere to responsible gaming rules and regulations. However, as my Mr Green guide (gym) shows, this site does it far better than most. The casino has a shield presented in green and silver that says Green Gaming. If you select that, it takes you to another website that focuses only on their responsible gaming approach. This is unusual for an online casino β Iβve seen maybe one or two others that have separate websites you can visit. Itβs an impressive route to take and does provide reassurance that the casino isnβt just out to get money from you. I thoroughly recommend you visit the site to learn more about how they approach this most important topic.
To give an overview, the site covers topics such as setting limits, taking a break from gaming, and underage responsibilities. Most impressive of all is the information given on the Green Gaming Tool. This monitors the way you use Mr Green across the casino and the sportsbook. The site supplies a self-assessment tool as well, so you can use that to see how you are playing and wagering your bets. The site even notifies you if it detects a change in your risk level.
An impressive homepage is another key part of the Mr Green site. One of the most interesting things about it is the customer review area, just under the first panel I saw on the page. Few casinos offer reviews, and even fewer take them from a trusted source such as Trustpilot. There were three sets of five reviews there, mostly five stars but a few honest four-star reviews as well.
I then looked through some of the awards theyβve won. I noticed several socially responsible ones, along with some from the GA Gaming Awards and the SBC Awards β major award programmes in the industry. Another good sign, I think, making this site a good contender for our Awards (Lab).
Iβm not someone who dives into sports betting, but even I found the information quite easy to find and pore over. Looking at head to heads is superb, honestly, as it gives you more to go on when youβre considering which bet to make. If you select some odds for a match or head-to-head, youβll see your betting slip pop up in the bottom right corner of your page. You can then adjust your wager according to the latest Mr Green odds. Iβd recommend trying a few for practice purposes before signing up and getting underway.
If you love jackpot games, this is the area to visit at Mr Green. There are a few things to note here. Firstly, you get the current totals for all jackpots underneath the logo for each game. They update live too. Some reach well into the millions, with certain titles often achieving those lofty heights, such as:
The casino also displays titles in other areas. The Red Tiger developer offers Big Drop Jackpots, Daily Drop Jackpots, and Hourly Drop Jackpots, for example. Other jackpot areas at Mr Green include these:
This section also highlights the sports jackpots on offer. You can go through to the relevant area of that section by using the button supplied. If jackpot play is your thing and you like trying for those prizes, itβs nice to see there are sporting possibilities there as well.
This is a small yet appealing section of the site. Bingo rooms include the following options:
You can see whether a game is in play and find out the ticket price from the main bingo screen. Just choose the green PLAY button to take part. You can also see how many players are in that game. Itβs nice too to see the latest bingo winners in a separate panel. I was able to swap between those and the available jackpots to see what was on offer. The jackpots I spotted were worth Β£50 and Β£100.
Yes, there is more. Mr Green qualifies as a galaxy of a site all on its own, with other lesser mortals orbiting around it. You must log into your account to see the keno area, but I can confirm it is the classic keno that uses numbers from one through to 80. Itβs a bit like a lottery, with the idea to match numbers to win prizes.
You need to choose 10 before the game begins. With 20 numbers randomly selected, anything won is then paid out. You need to bet a minimum of Β£1 with the largest bet per game set at Β£10. The site holds your 10 most recent draws in your keno screen, while also offering the chance to autoplay from two to 25 draws if you like.
Here we are β in the casino. I think most players will head for this section first. There are two menus here β one at the top of the page and one slightly further down. The first one has a section just for you, which only comes into play when you are logged into your account. This was in beta mode when I wrote this review, so it may go through some changes and a few glitches until it settles down.
You can see the full range of casino games underneath the promo panel (this displayed the Arcade Bomb deal when I visited the site). The top-rated games appear first, and youβll find some stratospherically good titles there, like these:
I could mention many more too. The other categories in this portion of the site reveal new games, exclusive titles, slots, jackpot games, and even some virtual sports and instant wins. There were 12 categories displayed in all. Youβve got over 300 slots to look through, along with dozens of other games.
I couldnβt find a way to look for games by a named developer, unfortunately. I tried using the search feature (shown by a magnifying glass on the far left of the game options), but it doesnβt work that way. I can, however, tell you that games from these developers are included:
There are other smaller ones too, so youβre getting access to hundreds of developers with many slots to try. While you cannot sort by reel quantity, you can access all the Megaways slots in their own category, along with jackpot slots, and the new games too. I had a great time exploring. You can also look for named titles via the search facility, so thatβs a fast way to see if your favourite titles are there.
Youβve also got around 34 titles in the live casino portion of the site, supplied by several leading names in the live gaming arena:
The top-rated titles appear by default, but you can view all tables if you wish. I love blackjack for its simplicity, so I was delighted to see I could view just those tables. Other options include roulette, baccarat, poker, and game shows, so youβve got all the most popular variations on live gaming there.
And there are other areas to visit that are closely related to the casino too, so letβs press on into the surprises we can find in Mr Greenβs corner of the stratosphere, shall we?
Iβll keep this bit short as my quest to find poker games ended in seven titles discovered in the live casino. Expect some Side Bet City, Live Casino Hold βEm, and Live Three-Card Hold βEm to crop up in there. Theyβre all supplied by live software developer virtuoso, Evolution Gaming, so youβre in excellent hands.
Tucked away further down the page on the main sports menu, youβll find the eSports section. This wouldnβt be a highlight in our Academy (Gym), but there is enough here to supply some interest. Typical eSports include League of Legends, Dota 2, and Rocket League. There are also DreamHack Masters events divided into those occurring in Europe, North America, and Oceania, so you can always head straight for the ones you most want to check out.
On balance, this is a small yet strong section of the overall sporting segment of the site. Our Mr Green eSports review is necessarily short owing to the small array of events currently happening. That said, whenever something good rolls around, you can be certain it will crop up there.
I was impressed at the sheer amount of information available at the site. Itβs nice to see a separate help centre to visit, chock full of all kinds of info on many topics. The separate responsible gaming site is reassuring too. And if you want to check the legitimacy of Mr Green, you can select the Gambling Commission logo at the bottom of the casino and go through to the relevant information on the UKGC website.
Whatever you want from a site, from slots to a sportsbook, youβre going to get it all at Mr Green. The site design manages to squeeze all that in without making you feel as if youβre going around in circles trying to find the area you want. Thatβs quite an achievement; Mr Green is the best on the planet at doing this, I believe. You can visit the site and see if you agree with that assessment, but I think you will.
