The Nets are on a major slide as they head into the all-star break having lost six games in a row. They will look to get out of their slump against the Jazz on Friday night and head into the All-Start break with some momentum.
Kevin Durant still looks to be a few weeks out from returning to the Nets lineup as he tries to rehab from a knee injury suffered a few weeks ago. Durant was one of the top MVP candidates throughout most of the year but is now likely out of the picture due to missing so much time.

The Jazz are the five and a half point favorites at home where they are 16-10 and have played well historically. The Jazz fan base is one of the most loyal in the league and this will be a tough environment for the Nets to play in. Donovan Mitchell is averaging over 25 points a game and he should be motivated to play against Kyrie Irving.

Harden on Trade block?
James Harden has been included in rumors in recent weeks that he could be on the trade block for the Nets and the situation could be worth monitoring in the next few weeks. Harden seems to be dealing with some nagging injuries and may not be thrilled as the third option in Brooklyn. With Kyrie’s status up in the air and Durant missing time, Harden could try to force his way out of Brooklyn and end up in a place like Philadelphia or Miami.

It looks like the NBA champion will come down to one of these four teams and my money at this point would be on the Suns and Bucks. Both teams have had good luck with injuries and I think they have deeper rosters than the Nets and Warriors which will be vital come playoff time.
