This is the fourth week in a row where there is a new number team. After Purdue shockingly lost to Rutgers on a half-court buzzer-beater (70-68), Baylor takes the new number one position. Baylor themselves beat #6 Villanova in a battle of defense (57-36). With Christmas fast approaching and the end of Autumn, it definitely feels like basketball season, with NBA and NCAA, is in full swing. Check all the updating odds for basketball to place the best bets.
Some of the best basketball last weekend was when #21 Ohio State beat #22 Wisconsin 73-55. #9 Alabama also took care of #14 Houston with a late dunk to seal a close victory (83-82). But as always, it is the upsets that make college basketball fun to watch.

Baylor is the new #1 here at the end of Autumn. Who else can move up amidst all these upsets
These two teams face off in Vegas. Ohio State is on a four game winning streak and has recently beat #22 Wisconsin and (then ranked) #1 Duke. The Buckeyes have a NET rating of #20, while Kentucky is a meager 53 because of their schedule against smaller schools. Lidell from Ohio State had a career game with 28 points and nine rebounds against Wisconsin, and looks to do the same against the Wildcats. Take the Buckeyes for the spread and money line as these two teams play a tournament-style game on a neutral court.

8-1 Texas Tech ranks impressively at #19 in NET rating, and has only lost to ten and one Providence. Texas Tech is great at rebounding, stealing, and defense. 8-2 Gonzaga play a similar style of basketball, but are better at scoring, assists, and blocking. The Zags sport a better #7 NET rating playing mostly good teams. The Zags will win in Phoenix, but take the spread of +9.5 with Texas Tech keeping it a closer matchup than expected.
Despite the 16 point difference in the AP Poll, these teams have a closer NET rating difference of seven (Xavier #16 and Villanova #9). Xavier (who are from Cincinnati) have only lost to the #11 Iowa State Cyclones. Villanova has three losses, all to top five teams (UCLA, Purdue, and Baylor). Xavier has great defense, especially with blocks and steals, so take the Musketeers in both spread and money line.
This game is basically a home game for Alabama playing in Birmingham. Alabama is coming off a bad upset to Memphis, and can lose another one to an undefeated Colorado State team lead by Roddy in both offense and defense. Take the Rams for the upset in their last game before conference play begins.
This game will also be played in Vegas this Saturday. The 8-1 Bruins should have no problem holding off a disappointing Tar Heels squad. UCLA has only lost to Gonzaga this year. Pre-season this looked like a can’t miss game, and it will still be worth a watch, but it is easy to take the Bruins in both spread and money line to against a North Carolina team. North Carolina has an 8-2 record, it’s just they have eight wins against bad to okay teams and two losses to their only good teams they have played. There is always a chance they could show up to play, but the odds are better that the Bruins continue their domination.

#21 Kentucky will take on North Carolina in the neutral site of Vegas. These two games were both going to be held in Vegas and in order to keep the bill they will instead pivot and have the Wildcats take on the Tar Heels. The odds are only a -2.5 spread surprisingly for Kentucky so take them for a smash win over UNC.
