The SEC race will likely come down to Georgia and Alabama with Georgia being the slight favorite to take home the SEC title and win the National Championship at this point. If Georgia can get past Alabama in the SEC title game, it is likely that only Georgia will get into the College Football Playoff and Alabama will likely fall to the Sugar Bowl. Ole Miss vs. Texas A&M

Ole Miss has a big matchup against Texas A&M in Oxford

Ole Miss hosts Texas A&M in a big SEC west contest that will have big implications on the bowl picture. If Ole Miss or Texas A&M finished 10-2 they have an outside chance of sneaking into the College Football Playoff if they get some upsets in other conferences in the final weeks which is definitely possible. Matt Corral is third in the Heisman Odds entering this week and will have a great chance to improve his chances if he can have a huge night on National TV against the Aggies.

 Tennessee vs. Georgia

The Bulldogs have one of the best defenses in CFB history

Old school rivals Tennessee and Georgia face off in Knoxville with Georgia being a 20 point favorite on the road. Georgia has not allowed more than 13 points all season long and will face an up-tempo offense from the Tennessee squad that like to get their playmakers in space and push the tempo. The Tennessee offense may give Georgia some trouble as they will try to take away Georgia’s size advantage by spreading out the field. I think Tennessee can keep this game close for a half but Georgia’s offensive line and run game will likely wear down the Vol defense and keep the ball away from Tennessee’s offense.

Mississippi State vs. Auburn

Mississippi State and Auburn are both coming off tough losses to Arkansas and Texas A&M and will be looking to get back on track this week. Both teams like to throw the ball around and we should see plenty of points in a game that I would not be surprised to see both teams scoring over 30 points. The over is 51 points and Auburn is favored by 5.5 points and this could end up being one of the most entertaining SEC games this weekend.

South Carola vs. Missouri

South Carolina faces Missouri in Columbia in a game that will likely give the winner the better bowl game as both teams have similar records but should finish around .500. The Gamecocks have had injury issues at QB all year and Missouri is still trying to form its identity under  Coach Eliah Drinkwitz. In a matchup like this, I think you have to go with the home team and I think Missouri will figure a way to outscore South Carolina in a high-scoring game.

Heisman Race

Alabama controls their own destiny if they win out

Bryce Young and Matt Corral are 1st in 3rd in the most recent Heisman odds and I like one of them to be able to bring home the Heisman. Alabama faces Arkansas, Auburn, and will likely have a big showdown against Georgia all on National TV. If Alabama wins out and Young has solid performances he will likely bring the Heisman back to Tuscaloosa.

Matt Corral has a critical game this weekend against Texas A&M and a big game on national tv could propel him into being a favorite or he could drop out of contention completely if Ole Miss loses. The Voters tend to give the award to the best player on one of the best teams and if Ole Miss gets its third loss he will fall back in the odds significantly.

SEC Bowl Projections

If Alabama gets by Georgia you will likely have Alabama as the 1 seed, and Georgia as the 2 or 3 seed which would set up a potential rematch in the championship game. I think most College Football fans would rather see a different matchup in the playoffs but it is very likely if Alabama wins the SEC title. If Georgia wins, Alabama will likely end up in the Fiesta Bowl or Sugar bowl.
