There were lots of good games this past week, including #1 Auburn taking down #12 Kentucky (80-71), #5 Kansas beating #13 Texas Tech (94-91), & #17 Providence over #21 Xavier (65-62). Despite Gonzaga beating #34 San Francisco (78-62), they conceded a spot to Auburn. Gonzaga holds the top spot in NET, where Auburn ranks only sixth, which shows the big conference bias in AP voting. This week we get the opportunity to watch the SEC lose again and again to the Big 12 as there are ten Challenge Games being held on Saturday. The Best Basketball Betting Sites will pay out big on all these Big 12, Big East, & Big 10 games here with the Late January college hoops.

#19 Ohio State Buckeyes travel to West Bend, Indiana to take on #6 Purdue for an early glimpse of the best team in the Big 10. Late January college basketball has been rewarding us with tournament-quality games.
Kentucky is continuing to win in the SEC, recently beating both the Aggies and Bulldogs (Miss State). It is just that the SEC is rated higher in basketball than they should be. Kansas has earned tough wins this year and recently outshot #15 Texas Tech and both the Sooners and the Wildcats (Kansas State). Take the Jayhawks at home led by Ochai Agbaji.
The Buckeyes had the luxury of moving up three spots in the polls without playing a single game. If Ohio State is lucky enough to escape Minneapolis with a Win, they will have to travel to Indiana to play Purdue who bounced back from their loss to Indiana by beating Northwestern by twenty points. The Boilermakers will have to survive the Hawkeyes in Iowa. This matchup on Sunday will be worth the watch before the Bengals/Chiefs game. Take Purdue for the win.
Marquette has out scored, out assisted, out blocked, out stole the Friars so far this season. The Golden Eagles have won seven straight including three upsets in a row against #14 Villanova, #21 Xavier, and previously-ranked Seton Hall. It will be a tough away game, but they did just beat a better Villanova squad on the road in Philly.
Baylor is back on a three game winning streak, taking care of West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Kansas State this past week. Now they will have to play Alabama who has spoiled Gonzaga, Houston, Tennessee, & LSU (who were all ranked in the Top 15 when the Crimson Tide beat them). The only loss to a ranked team Alabama has this year was to Auburn when they lost by four points. Choose the Crimson Tide for the spread, but take the Bears for the victory.
Last week these two teams were ranked 24th and 23rd respectively. The Volunteers spent the last week beating Vanderbilt and Florida, as well as then-ranked #13 LSU. Texas ended up dropping the ball against Kansas State, but did rebound with wins against Oklahoma State and TCU. Both teams have losing records against top tier teams, so take the Longhorns at home. Texas is allowing eight fewer points per game to opponents, so follow the defense and stray away from the SEC.
