The addition of DFS and betting regulation has helped attract lukewarm baseball fans back to the game in the last couple of years. While most fans previously would follow their favorite team, the gamification of the sport has fans more engaged and keeping an eye on a wider variety of games which is great for baseball.

Let’s take a look at some of our favorite MLB bets and props to keep an eye on:
One way we like to look for value in DFS is to look for high performing players that play in small markets that may be undervalued by the sharps.
Here are a few of our top picks to keep on your radar over the last couple of months of the season:
Jose Ramirez, 3B Indians
Ramirez is having a great season hitting .254 with 25 HRs and an OPS of .870. While Ramirez did make the All-Star game this year, he often gets overshadowed by big market stars like Manny Machado, Nolan Arranoda, and Kris Bryant. Ramirez also has the benefit of hitting in the hitter-friendly AL Central, where he will be facing the Tigers, Royals, and Twins multiple times before seasons end.
George Springer, OF Blue Jays
Springer often gets a bad wrap stemming from his involvement in the sign-stealing scandal from his time with the Astros and has fallen off the radar nationally since he signed with the Blue Jays. Springer is quietly putting together another impressive season by hitting .280 with a .365 OBP and 14HRs. Springer plays in the ultra competitive AL East, but typically hits in front of fan favorite Vlad Guerroro Jr, so he rarely gets pitched around. Springer should have a strong finish as the Blue Jays have the 24th easiest remaining schedule.
Red Sox to Win AL East +280
The Red Sox are currently sitting 5 games back of the Red Sox after a rough 2-8 stretch over the last 10, while the Rays are 8-2. The Red Sox have 9 more games against the Rays combined with a slightly easier remaining schedule. If you want to take a flyer on the Sox to win the division now is a great time to do so as their play should return to the mean very soon. A $ 100 bet would return $ 380 at the current odds.
Walker Buehler NL Cy Young Winner +275
Buehler (12-2, 2.13 ERA) sits slightly behind Zach Wheeler (10-6, 2.42) in the odds to win the NL Cy Young but we like his chances to have a stronger finish and claim the award. Buehler has more extensive big game pitching experience stemming from his impressive performance over the last several years of playoff runs. Buehler also has a better career ERA at 2.86 compared to Wheeler’s 3.49 so we like the odds that Buehler closes the season in stronger fashion.
The famous quote “If you build it they will come” lives in baseball lore amongst baseball fans stemming from the famous Field of Dreams movie. What was once thought of as a crazy idea is now actually becoming a reality as the Yankees and White Sox square off in Dyersville, Iowa in the cornfields where the 1989 movie was filmed. An 8,000 seat stadium was built on the site and tickets were sold through a lottery system for Iowa residents, while the cheapest ticket on Stubhub is listed at $ 1000.
