The college football bowl preview picks up after Christmas with a slew of must-watch games. Most bowls that have been played so far featured teams from the Other Five conferences playing each other. In the three games where the smaller conferenced faced up against the Power Five schools, the small schools have claimed victory (UCF over Florida, Army beating Missouri, and Utah State embarrassing Oregon State).
There are four more matchups where these two groups of conferences will play each other, but the majority of upcoming games will feature Power Five schools playing each other. Before betting on the remaining bowls, review the NCAA Football betting tips to ensure the most winnings this holiday season.
Nevada throws 366 yards per game take them over the Broncos at +6.5/+200.
East Carolina is a steal at +3/+120, as they air the ball better than BC. This should be the fourth Other Five school beating a Power Five team this bowl season.
The Cougars played at an impressive 11-2 record and get “rewarded” by playing a 6-6 Auburn team. Houston has the better defense and they are the biggest smash of the week at +2.5/+110.
A third Other Five school up against a Power Five team, watch Air Force completely run over Louisville, while stopping their run game. Falcons +1.5/+100
The Bulldogs throw an impressive 386 yards per game and have a great run-stopping defense. Texas Tech isn’t really good at any one thing, so take Miss State by multiple scores at +9.5/-400.
UCLA has an almost perfectly balanced offensive attack. Despite NC State’s record, they have only won a single game against a ranked team this year when they barely beat Clemson in double OT. Look for the Bruins at +1/+100.
Minnesota has the better record, better all around defense, and better run game. Watch them win against WVU at -4.5/-190.
This is the last Other Five school up against a Power Five conference. Both teams have an air attack, but SMU can also run the ball. Take the Mustangs at +2.5/+105 in Fenway Park.
Another game played in an AL East Stadium, so choose the cold-weathered Terrapins to exploit the Hokies in the air. Virginia Tech just doesn’t have the secondary to keep up, take Maryland at -3.5/-160.
One of the better matchups, it will be a close one, but take Clemson with their five game winning streak at -1/-115.
Oregon has surrendered 38 points to four straight opponents to end the season at 2-2. Choose the Sooners at -4.5/-200.
These two rival states battle each other, but just bet SC +9/ NC -300 and skip watching it.
Purdue has the better defense and edge on offense. The Boilermakers are +5/+150.
Pitt’s QB Pickett is legit, and Michigan State can’t defend against the air. Despite Michigan State delivering Michigan’s only loss, take Pitt at +2.5/+120.
A battle of two good 8-4 teams in the desert, choose the desert-dwelling ASU at +6.5/+200.
