This game was originally supposed to be played with #23 Texas A&M facing Wake Forest. However, with Texas A&M dealing with COVID, the game was reseeded to have Rutgers play instead. Rutgers has the worst record of any bowl team this year. It’ll be no surprise that Wake Forest will win covering the -14.5 spread.

Washington State Cougars (7-5) vs. Central Michigan Chippewas (8-4)
The Sun Bowl was originally going to feature Washington State and Miami. Miami could no longer play in the bowl because of COVID protocols. Therefore, Central Michigan stepped in after their bowl game was cancelled against Boise State. Unlike the game above, this matchup is more even. Notre Dame is inflated with a number five ranking and an unimpressive 11-1 record. That is what happens when you play against only four teams that ended the season with a winning record themselves. They took down a bunch of underperforming teams this year, and fell to undefeated Cincinnati themselves.
Oklahoma State was one play away from beating Baylor and taking the Big 12 Championship. Get your money on the Cowboys at an extremely generous +2.5/+110.
Seven of Iowa’s ten wins were by ten points or less, they keep games close. They mainly do this with their strong defense, especially against the run. Watch the Hawkeyes contain the Wildcats and cover their +3 spread.

The Rose Bowl has always been one of the biggest games of the year, even if it isn’t a playoff game. This year the Pac-12 Champion Utes will get their chance to upset the Ohio State Buckeyes. Utah has won their last six games, including two against the Ducks. While, Ohio State has lost to Oregon this year. They are also coming off of the embarrassing loss to Michigan 42-27, & the embarrassment of Urban Meyer as a failed NFL headcoach. Utah is at +4.5/+155 and have a good secondary to stop Ohio State.
Allstate Sugar Bowl (New Orleans, Louisiana)
#7 Baylor Bears (11-2) vs. #8 Ole Miss Rebels (10-2)
If the FBS had an expanded playoff series, both of these teams would have made it in. Baylor is coming off an impressive win against top-ranked Oklahoma State, while Ole Miss hasn’t played for over a month. Ole Miss has an average defense, where Baylor sports a top defense, and that is where the spread should be taken. Go for Baylor at +1 spread and -105 money line in the Sugar Bowl.
