NFL Offseason Review
Many players have retired (or came back from retirement), or have signed through free agency and/or been traded this offseason. Two of the most significant moves for signal-callers were the Broncos’ acquisition of Russell Wilson, which included a number of draft picks (and a few players like Fant). DeShaun Watson became the Browns’ QB in exchange for many draft picks as well. The Browns and Broncos are attempting to make it to the Super Bowl with these big moves.
Carson Wentz passing to Washington Commanders is another story. Furthermore, Matt Ryan will be calling the plays for the Colts. While lastly, Marcus Mariota is now the Falcons’ penciled-in starter. Jameis Winston has resigned to the Saints. He should resume his role as starter, while the other free agents appear to have signed contracts as back-ups.
Tyreek Hill, wide receiver, is now a Miami Dolphin. Davante Adams will take the ball from Derek Carr in Las Vegas. Star linebacker Chandler Jones was also signed by the Raiders. Last but not least, Von Miller, the two-time Superbowl Champ, will be a Bill. While, Bobby Wagner will join the Rams, in hopes of bringing them consecutive titles.
Who will be the first overall?
OT Evan Neal, Alabama +1200
The Jacksonville Jaguars will start the draft first, and could trade back if they are able to benefit from multiple first round picks. The Jaguars will likely go offensive line to protect Trevor Lawrence, their second year quarterback. Evan Neal is the obvious choice as he can also play guard. Cross (+5000), and Ekwonu (+1200) are other top blockers that the Jaguars could invest in. Though they could draft a top-linebacker (like Devin Lloyd) while still drafting a solid guard such as Zion Johnson if they trade down.
DE Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan (-250)
Hutchinson is the most talented player this year. This is why he has the best chance to be drafted number one. Hutchinson could be taken by the Jaguars and converted to linebacker. However, this seems less likely. If the Jaguars retain the first pick overall, Hutchinson will likely land with the Lions at number two overall. Hutchinson may be available for trade, however, which would secure him as the first pick. To bet on Hutchinson’s new team, you can use the best

QB Malik Willis, Liberty (+3000)
It is not uncommon for teams to try to move up to the top pick to get a quarterback. However, the class this year does not have great quarterbacks. They have a lot of great wide receivers and edge rushers. With his strong arm and rushing skills, Willis seems like the obvious choice for first overall quarterback (-200). Willis going first overall may be a sign of how many teams are in dire need of a quarterback (Panthers Falcons Falcons Steelers & Lions), but it is possible for Willis to become number one based only on supply and demand.
Second overall pick
DE Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan (+260)
Hutchinson is almost certain to be second overall if the Jaguars keep their pick or another team trades up for a quarterback. Because of their lack of skilled defensive lineman, the Lions are almost a guarantee to get a DE.
Select the First Quarterback
Sam Howell, North Carolina (+2000)
Howell has been rising up draft boards. If the Carolina Panthers select the first QB with the 6th round, why not take the local kid?
Kenny Pickett, Pitt (+200)
Pickett is a strong arm, but he is not mobile. Pickett may be able to fit the needs of a specific team, such as the Steelers, depending on his system.
