The Cowboys and Eagles meet up Saturday night in the regular-season finale between NFC East rivals. Both teams are headed to the postseason and it is up for debate about how much effort both teams will be putting into winning the game.
The Cowboys are currently in the 4 spot in the NFC standing having wrapped up the NFC East and have to have several upsets in the final weekend to move up in the standings. The Eagles look like a lock to have the 6 seed so they may also be thinking about resting starters to get ready for next week. Neither coach has tipped their cap on what their plans are for next week, so we probably won’t find out what direction each team will go until kickoff time. The Cowboys still have an outside shot to move up if the Rams lose to the 49ers or the Bucs lose to the Panthers so they will be the slightly more motivated team come game time. The Cowboys will also want to get the stench of last week’s game off their mind and want to head into the playoffs with some momentum.

The Cowboys will likely host the Cardinals in the playoffs next week
It looks like it will be a cold windy night in Philadelphia which means both Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott may have a tough time throwing the ball. Both teams will probably want to play this game cautiously and avoid having any big hits on Prescott or Hurts so the running backs on both teams should get plenty of carries. I think Ezekiel Elliot should be able to find his way into the endzone as he appears to be playing at full strength after a tough mid-season stretch.
With a cold night in Philly and both teams trying to avoid any injuries heading into the postseason next week, we should see a very conservative game plan from both coaches. I think we could see something like a 17-14 game and I think the under is a great bet.

The Cardinals pulled off the big upset last week against the Cowboys
The Cowboys are likely headed for a rematch with the Cardinals next week and will look to avenge their loss against from last week. The Cowboys defense struggled to keep Kyler Murray in the pocket last week and will have a great shot to practice against another mobile QB in Jalen Hurts. If the Cowboys can stop Hurts this week I like their chances to get the win next week against the Cardinals next week.
The Eagles look like they will be heading to Tampa next week and could be catching the Bucs at the right time. The Bucs are dealing with injuries to several players and the Eagles have been playing good football down the stretch.
If the Cowboys are going to make a run in the postseason they will need Ezekial Elliot and Tony Pollard to run the ball effectively. They struggled last week against the Cardinals but have shown flashes to be one of the best duos in the league throughout the year.
Jalen Hurts has run for 10 Tds this year and has emerged down the stretch as one of the top playmakers in the league. The Eagles offense has evolved and they could be the type of team that makes a deep run in the postseason behind Hurts. The Eagles shocked the world a few years ago by making a run to the Super Bowl and will look to do it again this year and Hurts is the type of QB that can give defenses fits.
