Betting favorites in odds to win 2026 World Series
Los Angeles leads the current World Series odds, but there are several value picks in the first half of the MLB season.
Dodgers (+190)
Though the National League West was close for a while, the Dodgers have built a sizable lead in the division with the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres slumping. Two-time defending NL MVP Shohei Ohtani’s power numbers are a little down with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs, but he is 6-2 as a pitcher and would lead the Majors in ERA (0.74) if he qualified with enough innings. L.A. has a stacked lineup, Andy Pages leads the Majors with 53 RBIs, and the club ranks first in team ERA and third in runs scored.
Yankees (+550)
The Bronx Bombers recently took a big hit, as reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge is out indefinitely with a rib injury. However, Giancarlo Stanton will be activated soon, and Ben Rice (.299, 18 home runs, 45 RBIs) is having a breakout season. New York is battling it out with the Tampa Bay Rays, currently tied with them atop the AL East, and the club ranks in the top five in MLB in runs scored and team ERA.
Braves (+900)
The Braves have the best record in baseball and rank second in both runs scored and team ERA. Matt Olson (.267, 17 home runs, 47 RBIs) is an early MVP candidate, and the club is running away with the NL East, already 9.5 games clear of the second-place Philadelphia Phillies.
Mariners (+1000)
While Seattle has the fourth-best World Series odds, they are only two games over .500. The M's are in the weak AL West as the only team over .500, and while ranking a legit fifth in team ERA, they only rank in the middle of the pack (16th) in runs scored.
Brewers (+1700)
The Brewers have the third-best record in the National League and lead the NL Central — five games up on the St. Louis Cardinals. They are a balanced team that ranks sixth in runs scored and third in team ERA. However, Milwaukee doesn't have much pop with Jake Bauers (.281, 11 home runs, 40 RBIs) being the only player in double figures in home runs.
Phillies (+1800)
Philadelphia is on a hot streak, and while five games over .500, they are still 9.5 games back of the Braves in the NL East. Kyle Schwarber (.238, 23 home runs, 40 RBIs) leads the Majors in home runs, and Brandon Marsh (.338, 8 home runs, 30 RBIs) has the best batting average.
Sleeper picks in World Series odds
- Tampa Bay Rays (+2000) – While slumping recently, the Rays are tied with the Yankees atop the AL East. The team is balanced, ranking 10th in team ERA and 12th in runs scored.
- Pittsburgh Pirates (+4000) – A young and hungry club that's talented and over .500, the Pirates finished 20 games under .500 last season.
- St. Louis Cardinals (+12500) – The Cardinals are major sleepers, and while they do not rank in the top 15 in runs scored or team ERA, they are seven games over .500 and may be busy before the trade deadline.
PlayersBest prediction: Atlanta Braves (+9000)
Though the Dodgers have the best World Series odds, the Braves have the best record in baseball and took two of three games from the Dodgers on the road earlier this season.
Atlanta has a great pitching staff and a solid lineup, and has only lost two series all season. They are running away with the NL East, and we expect them to continue playing well this summer. The Braves will stay hot in the playoffs and, with their balance, will unseat the Dodgers as World Series champions.
