The college season is still a ways away, but the top online sportsbooks have already listed 2027 NFL Draft odds, including odds to be selected first overall next April.
At DraftKings Sportsbook, Arch Manning has the top NFL Draft odds to be the first overall pick at +250.
Quarterbacks are typically in the top spot, as the worst team in the league usually needs a new signal caller to turn the franchise around. This season, seven of the eight players with the shortest odds to be selected first are QBs.
After Manning, the players with the best NFL Draft odds are Oregon quarterback Dante Moore (+380), Notre Dame's CJ Carr (+650), Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (+1000), South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers (+1200), and Miami QB Darian Mensah (+1400).

Betting favorites to be selected No. 1 overall
There's no surprise at the top of the board. The highly-touted Manning has been the face of the 2027 draft class for quite some time, and will likely headline the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds after the draft.
Ahead of the 2026-27 college football season, the following players are leading the odds to be selected first overall.
Arch Manning (+250)
Manning comes from a “decent” pedigree of the legendary Manning quarterback family tree and was solid last season at Texas. This will be his second season as a starter with the Longhorns.
Manning has all the tools and can also move the chains with his legs, rushing for 399 yards last year. He needs to work on his inconsistent footwork, which at times costs him accuracy.
Dante Moore (+380)
Moore decided to return to Oregon even though he likely would've been the second QB off the board and a very high first-round pick in the 2026 draft. He has a rocket arm and is accurate, but one knock on him is that he has struggled against teams with top-tier defenses.
CJ Carr (+650)
Carr is a redshirt sophomore, and in his first season as Notre Dame's quarterback, he passed for 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He has solid tools and throws a beautiful ball, but tends to force passes at times. Scouts say he is the QB that can launch up the draft board with a great season, like Fernando Mendoza last season and Joe Burrow a few years ago.
Jeremiah Smith (+1000)
Smith is another name in the long list of top-tier wide receivers coming from Ohio State. He is 6-foot-3 with great hands and ball skills and, with his elite talent, could have been the No. 1 pick in the last draft if he had been eligible. Several NFL scouts have stated that Smith is the best wide receiver prospect of the last decade. In terms of NFL Draft odds, if a QB is not taken first, he may be the best pick.
LaNorris Sellers (+1200)
Sellers decided to return to South Carolina after an inconsistent season, during which he had been a first-round prospect. He is a dual-threat pivot who is strong and mobile, but was sacked at the second-highest rate in college football last season. Sellers developed some bad habits from being on the run so much and has to clean them up this season.
Darian Mensah (+1400)
Mensah will now play at Miami after beginning his career at Tulane and spending last season with Duke. He is a creative passer and was huge for the Blue Devils last season in their ACC title campaign, passing for nearly 4,000 yards with 34 touchdowns. Mensah has turnover issues, especially with fumbles, and needs to improve under pressure in the pocket.
2027 NFL Draft odds: sleeper picks
- Dylan Stewart (+2200) – Stewart has the best NFL Draft odds for a defensive player and was a beast for South Carolina last season.
- Colin Simmons (+3000) – Simmons has the second-shortest odds of any defensive player. The edge rusher had 12 sacks and three forced fumbles for Texas last season.
PlayersBest prediction: Dante Moore (+380)
Moore may have been the No. 2 pick in the 2026 draft, but he went back to Oregon, where he had a great season. The quarterback class in 2027 is much better than the previous one, and if the team with the top pick needs a signal caller, Moore is the guy.
He adds another year of experience and learning, and playing in so many big games will be key. Moore will improve on his numbers from last season and boost his draft stock, which is why his name will be called first in the 2027 draft.
