Betting favorites to win Offensive Player of the Year award

Led by a pair of superstar running backs, there is plenty of talent on display near the top of the Offensive Player of the Year odds.

Jahmyr Gibbs (+750)

Oddsmakers give Gibbs the best odds to win OPOY and expect a breakout season. Last season, he was solid, for sure, but still “only” ranked seventh in the league in both rushing yards and all-purpose yards.

Bijan Robinson (+800)

Robinson ranked fourth in the league last season in rushing yards and third in all-purpose yards. He finished fourth in the Offensive Player of the Year voting.

Ja’Marr Chase (+950)

Chase ranked fourth in receiving yards in 2025, even while missing one game and playing without starting quarterback Joe Burrow for most of the season. Burrow hasn't played a full season since 2024, when Chase had over 1,700 receiving yards and finished third in the Offensive Player of the Year voting.

Puka Nacua (+1100)

Nacua missed a game last season and had the second-most receiving yards. He was one of only four wideouts with double-digit touchdowns. He had some off-field issues in the offseason, and it remains to be seen whether they will affect his play.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (+1100)

JSN won the award last season, leading the league in receiving yards and ranking second in average yards per reception. He looks to become the first repeat winner since Marshall Faulk in 2000 and 2001, and also looks to join Jerry Rice as the only wide receiver to win multiple times

Christian McCaffrey (+1100)

McCaffrey won the OPOY award in 2023 and had the fourth-most all-purpose yards last season. He not only finished second in the Offensive Player of the Year voting, but also fourth in MVP voting.

Five past winners with strong odds to win OPOY

Here are a few players who have won the Offensive Player of the Year award and cracked the top 12 in odds for the 2026-27 season:

  • Smith-Njigba (+1100)
  • McCaffrey (+1100)
  • Justin Jefferson (+1400)
  • Saquon Barkley (+1600)
  • Derrick Henry (+2000)

Sleeper Picks

Here are two running backs who are tied for the 10th-shortest OPOY odds. They're not huge dark horses, but are worth considering as value sleeper picks.

Jonathan Taylor (+1800) – Taylor looked well on his way to winning the award last season after a 244-yard rushing game in November. However, the Colts imploded after starting quarterback Daniel Jones was sidelined, losing their last seven games, where Taylor averaged 63.5 rushing yards.

James Cook (+1800) – Cook led the league in rushing yards last season and ranked sixth in all-purpose yards. He continues to improve and post career highs.

PlayersBest prediction: Bijan Robinson (+800)

Robinson (The top non-QB in NFL MVP odds) has the second-best odds to win Offensive Player of the Year, and we are backing him to win the award this season.

He is a great dual-threat running back who finished fourth in last season’s vote with over 1,400 rushing and 800 receiving yards.

Robinson will be the focal point of the Falcons’ offense with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. returning from injury and newcomer Tua Tagovailoa battling to be the starter. A lot of touches will lead to even bigger numbers than last season, which will propel him to the top of the list of elite running backs.
