UFC 273 Volkanovski vs. The Korean Zombie Betting Guide

UFC 272 was fun, but it wasn’t worth much other than bragging rights. UFC 273 will take place on April 9th. Volkanovski (-720) vs. Korean Zombie (+500)

Let’s start by discussing the odds of this fight, which are +500 for the Zombie and -720 for Volk. I don’t recall ever seeing such absurd odds set by sportsbooks in a title fight. Do I believe Volkanovski will win? Yes. Am I sure the Aussie is better than his challenger by this much? No.

I wouldn’t recommend taking anyone at -720, and, to be honest with you, the odds of the Korean Zombie winning are better than the +500 odds offered by most of the best UFC betting sites. With that said, I recommend staying away form the moneyline.

Look for to Volkanovski will win by decision at -150. Although he’s a good striker, he only managed three knockouts in his ten UFC fights against fighters you may not even recognize. The Korean Zombie is a tough fighter known for his tough jaw. I do not see Volk dropping the Zombie.

It doesn’t hurt to spend some money on the Korean Zombie to win by KO at +1200. There have been crazier things that I’ve seen happen in the UFC.

Sterling (+340) vs. Yan (-450)

There is another big gap between Yan -450 and Sterling at +340. But, hey, that’s what happens after an illegal knee disqualification takes away your title.

The original fight at UFC 259 saw Petr Yan basically win over Sterling. Everyone who watched this fight knew who the better fighter was. I expect this to happen again. However, I am not a fan betting on someone who is such a favorite like Yan at -450.

Take Petr Yan to win via KO/TKO/DQ at +150 and the fight to go under 4.5 rounds at +100. For something even sweeter I like Yan to win by KO/TKO/DQ in Round 3 at +1000.

Burns (+375) vs. Chimaev (-510)

As former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns faces Khamzat Chimaev and many are just as excited about this fight. “Borz”, a perfect 10-0in his MMA career, has never lost a fight and only one of his four UFC bouts even made it to the second round.

The majority of the best online betting sites predict a win for Chimaev. However, he has never fought anyone with the same repertoire and skills as Gilbert Burns.
