Daily fantasy sports
Although it now offers a sportsbook and casino, DraftKings is best known for its daily fantasy sports product. If you’re new to daily fantasy sports, the first port of call on our exploration of DraftKings to explain exactly what it is and how it works.
Fantasy sports basically consists of creating your own teams made up of real players from the likes of the NBA and NFL. At DraftKings you get a $50,000 salary cap and once you’ve created your team you can submit it either to a daily or weekly competition. You can play in both public leagues and private leagues with your friends.
In the competition, your team faces off against other players’ teams. Your team picks up points if it does well, and then if your team does well and places in a paying position you can get real cash prizes that you can withdraw from your account.
