As you might have realized from the name, Global Poker is all about poker! It immediately caught my eye that it’s free to play in these poker tournaments. You can either play for fun using Gold Coins, or alternatively play for Sweeps Coins, which gives you the chance to redeem cash prizes. At these bookies and casinos, you pay real money for each round you play.

First things first, I needed to create my account before I could really start exploring the game options for my Global Poker review. It’s a much more simple process than I was expecting. A new player can choose to sign up using their Facebook or Google account, or alternatively by using their email address and a password. The first two options are much more convenient, so I chose to sign up via Google.

The first thing I noticed is that there is a live chat feature. The mobile play is really similar to the desktop experience, which is good news. It means that playing on the go couldn’t be easier. You can make use of all of the features of the main site, like purchasing Gold Coins, and taking part in tournaments, all from the comfort of your mobile phone or tablet.
While I do think that the game experience is a bit superior on desktop, that’s just because the screen is bigger and easier to see. My top tip for mobile is to make sure you’re playing in landscape mode, so you can really appreciate the visuals.

I don’t believe that there is anything groundbreaking about the design and usability of the Global Poker website, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In the poker section, you can filter by different kinds of games, or see all of the available tournaments. Next, take your seat at a table, and start playing! You’ll be playing against other real players, which is a lot more exciting than playing against a computer.
You can also navigate to the casino section, where you can make your selection from the range of slot-style games on offer. When you’re logged in, you’ll see your GCs balance at the top of the screen at all times, alongside the option to purchase more. There’s also a comprehensive collapsible menu to the left of your screen, where you can access help, see all the tournaments, or read the responsible play information.
