Deceptive opportunities with Royal Oak Casino

Royal Oak Casino is home to one of the smaller libraries of casino games you’ll find during your deep space exploration, with way less online slot games available compared to legit sites. There is also a fairly lame sportsbook section for users who want to switch up their wagering habits.

Please don’t let the vile gold and black design fool you – this online casino is currently operating without a legitimate US license. Loose terminology used in their FAQ section suggests users “might fail to pass” their KYC procedure, yet Royal Oak Casino offers their services to the American market, knowing that the Curacao license they hold is deemed redundant. This shows that Royal Oak Casino cannot be trusted.

Royal Oak Casino Logbook: An absolute failure

  • December 2020: Royal Oak Casino begins offering lame casino services and dodgy sports bets to customers
  • December 2020: Teams up with some of the industry’s worst gaming developers
  • July 2021: I updated my Royal Oak Casino review

Countdown: Prepare to see why Royal Oak Casino is so bad!

Not a meteoric market availability – Seriously disappointing

We all expect to see certain sports when we land on a casino’s homepage. However, as a US crew, heading into outer space can be somewhat unpredictable as most operators are European-centric. That means their leading lights are soccer and cricket, as many of our online gambling site reviews highlight.

As a commander of this vessel, I can report that US markets nearly totally ignored at Royal Oak either. Bonuses and promotions also barely cater towards the American market, with the operator’s license holding no legal standing within the US. This means anyone depositing and taking advantage of these markets from the US, will have no legal backing should Royal Oak prove to withhold funds, discredit bonuses, or act in an otherwise illegitimate manner.

The odds suck at Royal Oak Casino

I set off on my journey to evaluate Royal Oak Casino’s odds compared with the cosmos’ other leading contenders. To do this, I picked the outright winner of the NBA Finals between the Suns and Bucks. Like most providers, the Phoenix Suns are considered the favorites here, yet this didn’t stop Royal Oak from offering way worse odds than you get at legit sites.

There are many reasons Royal Oak would look to offer such pathetic odds. Regardless of their reasoning, it is important to remember Royal Oak only offer such pathetic odds to dupe poor punters and because they have not spent company money on credible US licensing.

In-play crashes to be expected at this lame betting site

With the nature of sports in mind, being able to place wagers in-play should be a nice addition to any platform. However Royal Oak Casino gets it all wrong. The process is anything but seamless on-site (requiring you to select the “Live” tab in order to view which markets are currently available), the ability to cash out barely works at all.  Cash-out is a great feature provided it is working as it should – offering users the chance to pull out of bets before they have fully resulted. However, it appears Royal Oak has a tendency to suspend these options on tightly contested matches or, in some cases, not offer this option at all. Another reason to avoid Royal Oak Casino.

A terrible welcome package for space cadets

Did you think I was going to leave you drifting through space without mentioning the sports bonus welcome offer? Not a chance! Nowhere else will you see a sports bonus this bad! The offshore platform offers a 100% match-up deposit bonus but the overall size of this deal is disappointing.

Wagering requirements do exist, which is frustrating because you must play through your deposit multiple times before you can withdraw any winnings. It is also worth noting a 20x wagering requirement is huge when compared to other legitimate US operators – we think you can find much better elsewhere.

All that glistens is not gold in the Royal Oak Casino

The sports section of Royal Oak Casino’s website is limited,  and the online casino component is equally bad. Space travellers desperate to test out the virtual felt on the blackjack tables should avoid the nasty 100% deposit offer as it is a seriously dodgy deal.

Attempting to dishonestly lure in the US market again, Royal Oak also offers a slightly bigger bonus for any casino users who deposit using alternative methods. This as a sneaky technique utilized by offshore providers to entice US customers on-site and it should be completely avoided.

Online slots boasting planet-sized problems.

Like you, I’m a big fan of online slots, so I happily tested the titles on offer at Royal Oak to see if they were up to scratch. Firstly, the number of online slots is pretty lame, with a limited number of releases to choose from. Secondly, they are all developed by the least reputable studios in the business, which means they use antiquated software and the gameplay sucks too.

I was horrified to see that the slot gameplay resulted in a few issues with my account credit. After a rather strenuous back and forth with customer support, mixed with some rather rash responses, I found myself on the wrong side of the galaxy, with my betting credits magically falling into the abyss. After a little digging, it appears I wasn’t the only slot player to fall to this fate.

Dodgy terms of the table and live casino bonus play

I understand that slot machines aren’t every player’s cup of tea, which is why I also checked out the live casino and table games component of the operator. Royal Oak aims to appeal to the masses and encourage bettors from all walks of life to join their non-US licensed operation. However, we are wise to their lame games, and this is one of the reasons we were compelled to compile this review.

The different types of table and live casino games on offer were pretty poor. Customers can play only a small number of titles that are only found in international casinos, such as Coin Pusher Cai Shen Dao. But further cementing their position as an illegitimate provider, Royal Oak offers little in the way of Return to Player (RTP) percentages or, without extensive research, confirmation of what percentage of your stake contributes towards your bonus wagering requirements.

Lift-off: Grim findings in our Royal Oak Casino test

Funds found floating in orbit – Avoid this site!

If you’re fretting about whether this operator will be overly complicated, then we have BAD NEWS! This platform is a total nightmare whether you’re on terra firma or in Earth’s orbit. The tabs at the top of the homepage are confusing, and it’s easy to get lost in this site. Chances are that you will either scroll down through the options or select a market from the menu on the left-hand side of the site. The latter applies to the sportsbook, whereas the former is for the online casino. Either are equally bad.

As with most offshore operators, placing wagers, viewing market availability, and depositing into your account are all done with a few problems. Plus it’s fairly unlikely that your deposited funds will reach your account.

Scary UFOs spotted in the lame payment options

I was able to find a limited mix of payment options available at Royal Oak, including some UFOs – that’s unblockable funding options to you, new cadets.

As many of you will be aware, any US residents who look to send funds from their bank to an offshore gambling resort will find their transactions blocked.

Due to the very nature of some payment methods, your data and privacy are secure and kept hidden (to a degree) from any third parties, meaning you can riskily send your money directly to Royal Oak. Unfortunately, this has led to some US customers (who clearly haven’t read our review) reporting their deposits going missing, bonus credits being unreleased, withdrawals being rejected or voided, and accounts being closed. More reasons to avoid Royal Oak Casino.

My Royal Oak Casino review uncovered terrible customer service

Finding evidence of an intelligent lifeform isn’t scary concerning customer service – it’s essential. While there isn’t a dedicated phone line, it’s important to know that Royal Oak Casino offers a pretty dismal live chat function and an email address for anyone in my crew who wants to put questions in writing.

As we continue to stress throughout our review, Royal Oak is not governed by state laws, and their license holds zero legal standing across the US. Unfortunately, nearly all customers who have reported problems regarding deposits and withdrawals have noted just how terrible, rude, and unprofessional the support from Royal Oak agents had been. A warning sign that you should divert your ship away from this betting platform quickly!

In orbit: Pathetic possibilities at Royal Oak Casino

Virtual markets at Royal Oak Casino struggle to get off the ground

One feature that momentarily piqued my interest is the use of virtual reality sport. VR betting is something you don’t find often at offshore casinos, yet my Royal Oak Casino review made contact with a handful VR markets. These cover a limited range of sports from the ever-popular soccer, basketball, and baseball, to the vile activity virtual cockfighting – just another example of why ROYAL OAK CASINO SUCKS!

While this may be a novelty at first, the lengthy loading times, outdated wagering page, consistent error messages, and glitching entertainment will be enough to put you off within a few minutes… Although, the misspelling of strength whilst selecting my cockerel was enough for me.

Royal Oak Casino Sports Betting

Royal Oak Casino dodgy sports betting - Looks can be deceiving

Royal Oak Casino has clearly placed the money they should have spent on a legitimate US license into the IT department. The site looks credible but it actually sucks. Thankfully I’ve been crusading the galaxy on my quest to uncover the best sportsbook for far too long to miss something as glaringly obvious as a worthless license.

This is simply a rubbish sportsbook. A selection of only a few different sports, all featuring limited markets, provides a dismal atmosphere for some online betting, and the in-play options barely ensure you can log in and you’ll find it nearly impossible to actually put down your live bets.

A bleak sign-up bonus is matched by disgruntled reviews of customers failing to be rewarded with their deposit match bonuses, while virtual sports markets are unresponsive or feature spelling mistakes. All of which adds up to one of the worst sportsbooks in the solar system.

Royal Oak Casino

Royal Oak Casino online casino - Lame slots wasted in the offshore abyss

A gaming library with just a few titles isn’t enough to cement Royal Oak’s position as an online casino specialist. In fact, I would suggest kicking this online casino into orbit.

My quest at PlayersBest is to find the best online operators across the US, and there is no doubt the site offers games from some of the worst software providers around, as well as a live casino category that is way worse than what you get at legal US online casinos. Regardless of the gaming options available, Royal Oak continues to operate illegally across the US, attempting to entice customers to join the non-US licensed site via dodgy deposit match bonuses.

We have noted countless complaints that certain deposit and withdrawal methods have gone AWOL, with customer support leaving much to be desired. My expedition to Royal Oak has been enlightening in more ways than one, but my main conclusion is that this casino site sucks.

Royal Oak Casino FAQs

🔎What states can I play Royal Oak Casino in?

There are plenty of online gambling sites in the US but not all of them are available in certain states. That is why our review takes you through the list of states that currently allow its residents to use the Royal Oak Casino website. Check out our detailed review to know for sure if you can use the site. Here’s a hint: Royal Oak Casino is not licensed in the US.

✅How do I create my account?

There are certain steps you need to take in order to create your Royal Oak Casino account successfully. As such, our review will take you through the whole process to make sure that you don’t get tripped up by any of the steps. However, we’d advise against using this illegal gambling site.

❓Can I bet on the NHL with Royal Oak Casino?

The best sports betting sites in the US will be sure to make all of the NHL games available for you to bet on. With that being said, we still review the Royal Oak Casino site to make sure that they actually allow you to bet on the biggest ice hockey league in the world right now. Just remember that Royal Oak Casino is an illegal gambling brand.

💯Is there a live streaming feature?

While some sports betting sites have plenty of additional features, they may not always allow you to stream the sporting events on the site itself. This feature is always a big plus when using these sites which is why our review will shed some light on whether or not this feature is actually available on the Royal Oak Casino platform. Don’t forget that Royal Oak Casino has no US licensing and cannot be trusted.

💲What promotions are available?

Everybody loves a good bonus or promotion when they use online gambling sites in the US which is why our review takes you through the availability of any free bets, cashback offers, odds boosters, or bonuses that may be available on the site. However, you should remember that Royal Oak Casino isn’t regulated in the US.

Royal Oak Casino review: Conclusion - Time to kick Royal Oak into orbit and select a credible betting home

It is impossible to trust a site like Royal Oak Casino that offers nothing in the way of account safety for our US readers. The Curacao gaming license holds no credibility within the industry and real-user reviews suggest that the site has regularly been involved in foul-play. Bonuses and promotions offer questionable terms that require extensive digging to uncover the truth and decipher the jargon, while customer support has proven to be far below an acceptable level.

It may be a catastrophic review for Royal Oak, but it’s not all doom and gloom for the US online betting scene. In fact, our legal US operator reviews eclipse the terrible work of offshore accounts such as Royal Oak, and we can proudly recommend reviewing our Unibet review and Borgata rating in the hope of finding you a safer betting home!

Don’t let the name fool into thinking Royal Oak is a worthy casino. Truth be told, I regret ever investing my money in such a torn-down site. Their gaming collection is beyond dull, there isn’t a live chat option, and the customer service team takes forever to respond. I can keep going all night long.

Worst of all is the unreliable payment system high takes forever to get whatever you win. Aside from the cheesy graphics and an loud audio , there’s absolutely nothing royal about this casino.

    Nothing – not a thing.

OK, so I should have known better but it looked legit at the start. The bonus is literally the dictionary definition of to good to be true, but then they can give you what they like if there's no way you do everything they ask. Didn't have anything left, which didn't matter because from what I've seen on the internet I wouldn't have got it anyaway. Avoid.
