Mystake Review & Rating 2021 – Answered: Scam or Legal (Blacklisted)?
Is Mystake Legit? Certainly not!
Warning: This operator cannot be trusted. My interstellar Mystake review found that it could be the worst gambling site in the galaxy. Keep reading to see why you should play at legit sportsbooks and casinos instead!
Is Mystake legit? Well it doesn’t have US regulation, and it is licensed by the Government of Curacao. In short, it’s a site that is not to be trusted when accessing from the US. Take a look below at what horrors I found in my Mystake review!
Mystake is a terrible online casino or sportsbook. It’s a disaster of an all-in-one gambling site. This meant that I had my work cut out exploring everything from the lame football bets to dodgy slot games, terrible esports odds, and weird things like ‘mini games’. All of this was packed together in a betting site that’s licensed in Curacao – bad news for me!
This sadly means that Mystake has yet to get that all-important US regulation. Obviously, this means that you should avoid Mystake. But I thought I should carry out my Mystake review as normal just to see why this site is so bad and why offshore sites are not advisable.

Don’t get this terrible bonus for sports betting
I had a pretty bad start at the Mystake sportsbook. Not because I wasn’t given a sports welcome bonus upon signing up. Just by creating an account and putting down a qualifying deposit, I found that my opening deposit was doubled. However, clearing the wagering conditions proved to be tricky. This is because I had to bet the combined value of my deposit and bonus 10 times on odds of at least 1.40. Not easy, plus you have to go through the entire rigmarole of trying to get through to incompetent support as things don’t run that smoothly. Another clear reason why you should always avoid offshore sites.
Two lame bonuses available for online casino gaming
You could get a choice of two bonuses when you sign up for the Mystake casino. However, none of are as good as what you could get with a Rivers Casino promo code. One gave you a 100% deposit bonus. The other gave you a larger deposit boost of 150% but the overall bonus amount was a little smaller. I went for the latter option and found that it gave me a slow start on the slots and table games. Also, don’t forget that this deal comes with 30x wagering requirements that cover both the bonus and your qualifying deposit. Easily some of the worst casino bonuses I’ve ever seen!
Reload bonuses and cashback deals that hinder your space mission
Once I’d made use of my welcome bonus, I found that there were some more dodgy deals waiting for me – albeit sitting ducks more than anything. There was no shortage of horrible reload bonuses. These only boosted my qualifying deposits by 35% and they were more trouble than they were worth. Just remember that the cashback you receive comes in the form of dodgy bet credit rather than withdrawable cash. In the greater scheme of things, it seems that Mystake isn’t such a good place to come for special offers.
Navigating around the hazardous Mystake galaxy
Some people might find the use of light grey text on a dark grey background hard to read, as did I. The Mystake casino is especially difficult to navigate around with only a couple of clear tabs for all of the different gaming options. I must also admit that I found the sidebar in the Mystake sportsbook more than a little confusing. Just so you know, there’s no Mystake app. This means you’ll need to use the mobile-optimized browser. It’s a bit of a pain and not nearly as streamlined as a dedicated gambling app.
Don’t make risky payments to the Mystake casino and sportsbook
It’s a nightmare to get started at Mystake. Setting up your account takes more than just a couple of minutes. This means submitting some sensitive personal information like your name, address, and so on to a risky betting site. From here, you can put down your first deposit – even though you shouldn’t. Deposit options include payment providers like MasterCard, Skrill and Neteller. You can even make Bitcoin deposits to the Mystake site which is another reason why Mystake cannot be trusted.
Of course, an offshore site will be eager to get you signed up and making deposits. Therefore, there are no real barriers to entry. This is a bad characteristic and points to a site that continues to cut corners in all operational aspects. Plus, crypto payments are just another way for illegal sites to operate on the fringes.
Lame withdrawal options at the rogue Mystake site
I found it pretty tedious to make my withdrawals from Mystake. Once I’d made sufficient winnings to make the overly high minimum withdrawal threshold, I headed over to the cashier to submit my payout request. Once I’d submitted my withdrawal request, it took quite a few days to get a response. This is not on par with what you’d expect from most decent online gambling sites.
Terrible customer support available at Mystake
Customer service is an incredibly important part of all of my gambling reviews. After all, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll need to get some help at some point. I had to hunt around for a long time before I realized that there’s a little live chat icon in the bottom right of the Mystake site. There’s also a customer support email address in the website footer, but no telephone support which is another sign that Mystake cannot be trusted. I did click on the FAQ section, but this was pretty useless. After all, it only had two questions with very long-winded answers showing you how to contact the brand and set up your account.
Is Mystake legit in your space quadrant? No it isn’t!
I’m not going to recommend any gambling site unless I know that it’s regulated in the US. After all, it’s why I spent so long asking ‘Is Hollywood Casino legit?’ I found that Mystake is licensed by the Government of Curacao. This means that Mystake is bound by the online gambling laws of that tiny island nation, not the US. As a result, you’ll get no legal protection should something go wrong with your bets at Mystake. This means that you’ll certainly be better off sticking with one of the many fully US-regulated betting sites. Avoid Mystake at all costs!
Don’t play the most tedious mini-games in the known universe
Sadly, there’s more at Mystake than just lame sports bets and dodgy casino games. Clicking on the Minigames tab reveals alternative gambling horrors. You’ll probably know what the likes of keno, hi-lo, and dice are all about. However, you’ll just have to check out the likes of Chicken and Dino for yourself. Let’s just say that these are very much unlike your standard online slot machine game and they all completely suck! I also noticed that there were some virtual sports betting options. Virtual sports might be an acquired taste, but it can be a little more reliable than some of our overpaid sporting stars! However, it all feels slightly forced on the Mystake site and to be honest these games were terrible. Thus, no matter how may additional games they squeeze in, it’s just not the same as when you play using a licensed operator.
Catastrophic esports betting at the Mystake sportsbook
I was pretty skeptical when esports first came on the scene. But now I realize that it’s just like betting on sports, only a whole lot nerdier. So it makes sense that Mystake includes an esports betting platform as this dodgy betting site will try and snare unsuspecting customers any way that it can. To be honest, I wasn’t too sure what Valorant was, plus various other games. It’s quite clear that this operator hasn’t been able to hit the nail on the head – once again!
Don’t play with Bitcoin at Mystake
I’ve noticed a growing number of betting sites that are starting to accept Bitcoin payments. This makes perfect sense as the crypto can be used to make fast payments across borders without fees. As a result Bitcoin payments are common at rogue operators. I didn’t put down any Bitcoin deposits here, as I don’t fancy throwing my money away.
It’s extremely important to note that offshore sites, such as Mystake, include crypto payments in order to bypass US regulations. Most banks and payment affiliates will limit illegal gambling sites. Crypto payments enable sites to still receive payments without being hindered. Thus, using crypto to fund your offshore account isn’t necessarily a good thing. Always keep this in mind and avoid sites like Mystake.
Mystake is simply a terrible betting site, and it is massively let down by the lack of US regulation. Such regulation is the most important thing in how I rate any betting site, so Mystake has made an unforgivable error here. After all, US regulation means that it’s legal to bet from the USA, and also gives you confidence that you’ll get a safe and fair gambling environment.
It’s definitely a far better idea to get stuck in with the very best online gambling sites that are licensed here in the US. Offshore sites will simply disappoint you time and time again. Plus, you’ll find that you may end up in a sticky situation legally. In order to avoid all of this, use our featured list at Playersbest!
