TVG isn’t a regular sportsbook – you can’t bet on the NFL, NBA or any other such sports. This site is solely focused on horse racing and is aimed specifically at horse racing bettors. As such, it offers a much more advanced horse racing betting platform than regular sportsbooks.
For example, TVG offers HD live streaming for a huge range of races, including daily races from across the US and major events like the Kentucky derby. It also offers some of the most in-depth betting tools and resources we’ve seen among all horse racing betting sites, so it’s an excellent choice for both casual and advanced bettors. Read on to learn more about these features and more on the TVG betting platform.

TVG betting markets
If you’re looking for a site that offers an unrivalled selection of horse racing betting markets, then look no further than TVG. There are a huge range of races to bet on every day, not just from up and down the US but across the world. In fact, TVG offers betting on races from over 70 US race tracks as well as tracks in the UK, Australia, Ireland, Dubai, France, Sweden, Hong Kong and Japan.
This means there’s almost an endless stream of races to choose from – you’re never far from a new betting opportunity at TVG. It’s not just the smaller daily races that you can wager on, either. TVG also supports betting on all the major US horse racing events, including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, the Breeder’s Cup, the Triple Crown and many others.
You can also bet on all the biggest overseas races. From the Grand National and Acott in the UK, Prix de l’Arc in France and the Melbourne Cup in Australia to the Dubai World Cup, you’ll never miss out on the top races when you use TVG.
Types of bets you can place at TVG
As a dedicated horse racing betting site that’s linked directly to the pari-mutuel pools available at the race tracks, there are a wide variety of bet types available at TVG. These include:
- Win: You bet on which horse will finish first.
- Place: You bet on a horse to come in first or second.
- Show: Your chosen horse must come in first, second, or third.
- Exacta: You bet on the horses you think will finish first and second in that order.
- Quinella: Choose the horses you think will finish first and second in any order.
- Trifecta: Bet on the horses you think will finish first, second, and third in that order.
- Superfecta: Pick the horses you think will finish first, second, third, and fourth in that order.
- Daily Double: Betting on the winners of each of the first two races at a meeting.

The vast range of betting options mean there’s something to suit everyone, whether you’re a beginner looking to play it safe or are an experienced horse racing bettor looking to win big odds. We also like the additional options for exacta, trifecta and superfecta bets. For example, the box option allows you to place these bets but have the horse come in any order, while the key and wheel options allow you to give focus to particular selections within these bets.

TVG sign up bonus & TVG bonus code
What’s a betting site without a nice bonus or two? We know most of you love a nice promo, so we always check out the bonus offerings and code when we review gambling sites, like the Mohegan Sun promo code. So we made sure to check out the TVG sign up bonus and the TVG promo code as part of our review.
The welcome bonus is a 50% match on your first deposit up to $250. So for example, to claim the full $250 bonus amount, you’d need to deposit $500 when you create your TVG account. This is a great offer that can bag you plenty of funds to use on horse racing betting! Make sure you use the 250DM TVG promo code when creating your account, otherwise you’ll miss out on the offer. The minimum deposit you need to make in order to activate the promo is $10, and you must make the deposit within 15 days of signing up.
That’s not the only offer up for grabs at TVG, though – this betting site also has plenty of promos that existing customers can get their hands on. By clicking on the ‘promotions calendar’ from the TVG site, you can see all the various offers up for grabs. We found some really great bonuses – for example, at the time of writing, there was a cash back for 2nd or 3rd promo which means you get your stake back if the horse you’ve backed places in one of those positions.
We also found a nice exacta bonus that gives you a bonus from 15% to 30% when you play Santa Anita each day. There’s even a promo that allows you to deposit free of charge from Monday to Thursday! Simply login to your TVG account during this time and your first deposit of $50 or more can be made with no charge!
TVG Wager Rewards
As well as bonuses and promos, TVG also offers a loyalty program called Wager Rewards. With the scheme, you earn points for every wager you place on horse racing bets and you can then redeem your points for cash back! This is a great way to get something back for your horse racing betting.
Registering a TVG account
It’s quick and easy to create an account and start betting on horse racing at TVG. Firstly, you need to either visit the TVG website on desktop or mobile, or the TVG iPhone app, and select the create account option.
Once you do that, you’ll be asked to provide some basic personal information like your name, address, date or birth and phone number, and you’ll also need to create a password. Bear in mind that TVG will also ask you to provide your social security number. This is actually a legal requirement of all online betting sites as it’s used to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) laws and ensure people signing up to betting sites are who they say you are.
TVG deposit and withdrawal options
There are a wide range of deposit methods to choose from when you bet on horse racing at TVG. All major debit and credit cards are accepted, including VISA, MasterCard and American Express. You can also deposit using eCheck, PayPal, a TVG Prepaid Card, Green Dot MoneyPak, PayNearMe, wire transfer and check.
However, while this is a fantastic range of options that sure to suit virtually all bettors, it’s worth noting that not all of these are free to deposit with at TVG. The betting site charges a $5 fee for deposits made with credit or debit cards, PayPal, TVG Prepaid Cards and a $15 fee for wire transfers.
In terms of deposit processing times, payments made with credit or debit cards, eCheck, PayPal and TVG Prepaid Cards are instant. Green Dot MoneyPak and PayNearMe deposits take up to an hour to process, while wire transfers typically take one business day.
If you don’t want to do your banking online, you can also deposit and withdraw cash from your TVG account in-person at the Fairplex and Los Alamitos tracks in California, the FanDuel Sportsbook and Horse Racing track in Illinois, Prairie Meadows in Iowa, Keeneland in Kentucky, Suffolk Downs in Massachusetts and Emerald Downs in Massachusetts.
TVG mobile app
TVG currently only offers a mobile app for iPhone. However, it also offers a mobile website with all the same features that’s available on Android. For iPhone users, you can easily download the TVG horse racing betting app for free from the App Store.
We tested out the TVG app and found it to be intuitive, well laid out and easy to use. We also found that it allows you to stream live horse races seamlessly, just like the website. All you need to do is tap “live” and the stream will appear on your mobile device. You can easily scroll through the markets, place bets and use the various tools TVG has to offer. The same goes for the TVG mobile betting site that’s available for Android users.
One thing the app has which the mobile site doesn’t is the option to set race alerts. These send notifications to your phone five minutes before the start of a race, meaning you’ll never miss out on a betting opportunity! You can also receive notifications to let you know the result of races.
Getting help at TVG
It’s always important that you get help when you need to, which is why we checked out the customer service when carrying out our TVG rating. And we’re glad to report that we had positive feelings about it.
There are three ways you can get in touch with the customer service team at TVG – phone, email and live chat. The support centre is open seven days a week from 10am to 11:30pm Eastern Time, so it’s unlikely that they’ll ever be a time you’re stuck without help if you really need it.
If you want to use the live chat option, simply select the ‘message us’ icon from the top of your account on the desktop site. If using the TVG mobile app, select the ‘more’ menu in the lower right hand corner, then select support, and then ‘message us’. We tested the TVG support over both phone, email and live chat and found they had fast response times and were super helpful with all our queries.
TVG also has a support centre which has articles covering solutions to a wide range of commonly asked questions. For example, if you have questions about depositing into your account, the handicapping store or wagering information, it’s worth checking out the support center first as it may save you having to contact the customer service team.
TVG licenses and responsible gambling
Bettors are always asking us whether sites are safe to wager on. For example, when reviewing the horse racing betting site Watch and Wager, one of the most common questions we saw was is Watch and Wager legit?
So, we’ve covered the basics of what TVG offers, but how can you be sure your personal details and funds will be protected? Well, as part of our TVG review we took a look at TVG’s licensing and security policies, and we can confirm it’s a safe betting site.
TVG is licensed to provide legal online horse racing betting services in the 25 states in which it is available. This means that you can enjoy perfectly safe and reliable wagering when you use it. TVG uses security protocols like industry-standard data protection on both its website and app to ensure that your information and funds are kept safe, so you can enjoy betting in confidence.
Our TVG rating review also found the betting site is committed to responsible gambling. If you scroll to the bottom of the TVG website and click on the ‘wager responsibly’ option, you can read all our TVG’s responsible gambling policy. TVG offers various tools and settings that you can use to help manage your gambling. For example, you can set deposit and loss limits to control how much money you spend, and you can also set time outs and self exclusions if you need a break from gambling. All these tools can be easily accessed from within your TVG account.
As part of our online gambling reviews, we don’t just look at the bare basics of different site offers. We know that bettors these days have a huge range of sites to pick from, so we specifically look for the unique and innovative features that help gambling sites stand out from the crowd. We found that TVG has these in abundance – starting with its live streaming services.
TVG live streaming
The live streaming aspect of TVG is just as much a selling point as its betting services, as you can stream races from across the US every single day. If you’re a racing enthusiast, this really is a fantastic feature to have. TVG doesn’t just show the races either, but also provides live insight and background for the biggest races like the Kentucky Derby and the Pegasus World Cup.
Alongside having brilliant variety in the races you can watch, TVG also allows you to watch them in HD quality. All you need to do is click the “live streaming” option from your account to get watching. You can also stream live horses on the TVG mobile app and mobile website, meaning you never have to miss out wherever you are.
TVG betting resources
One of the most impressive things we found when doing our TVG review was the range of resources and statistics you can use to help inform your horse racing betting.
For starters, you can watch replays of all the races streamed on the TVG platform. This isn’t only great if you want to watch a race you missed, but it’s also really helpful for performing research and examining the track condition. You can easily search replays by date, horse and track, so it’s super easy to find the race replay you’re looking for.
We also love the TVG picks feature. With this, you can find top betting tips from TVG’s range of horse betting experts. You can filter the tips you say by the expert and race track, and this is a great way to help improve your knowledge and see what wagers the experts are backing.
TVG also has some fantastic resources for beginners. For example, our TVG rating review found there are horse racing 101 and how to bet on horse racing guides. These cover everything you need to know to get started, and they’re super helpful and easy to read if you’re a newbie.
As well as that, TVG also has a dedicated horse racing news section. Here you can keep up with all the latest industry news and check out feature stories from TVG’s team of expert writers, so you can access the latest horse racing topics and place your bets all from a single account!
TVG handicapping store
TVH also has a handicapping store where you can purchase past performances (PPs) to help improve your chances of making winning bets. If you’re not familiar with handicapping, handicapping is essentially a way of using data to analyze a horse’s form and performance. Horses are given handicap ratings which tell you how, in theory, how well a horse is statistically likely to do based on the weight it’s carrying in any particular race.
Through your TVG account you can purchase PPs from trusted resources like Equibase and Trackmaster. There’s also the chance to bag free PPs when you wager $10 or $25 on the track cards you want, depending on the PP info you need. This is the perfect way to take your horse racing betting to the next level.
