TonyBet Reviews 2021

TonyBet betting has never been better

With seven areas of the menu to explore from the second you land at TonyBet, I could see I was in for an immersive experience. It didn’t let me down, with info-packed areas for sports betting, casino action, and more.

I decided it was time to put TonyBet through its paces in the PlayersBest Lab. As I explored each area of the site, I discovered bonuses, live and regular casino games, plenty of sporting action, and in-play sporting events too. I soon got pulled into the persuasive orbit of TonyBet – and there was plenty to explore in their universe too.

Is TonyBet easy to explore?

Definitely – and I think that’s the most important thing to reveal right at the start. With a sportsbook, casino, live games, and plenty more, TonyBet is a great addition to our Academy (Gym). While it began under a different name in 2003, it’s been going strong as TonyBet since 2009, offering over a decade of action. I’ve visited and explored every area of the site and checked out the other important factors too – customer service, their take on responsible gambling, and so on. Join me here and find out what I discovered on my journey through TonyBet. Is it a contender for our best sports betting site awards? There’s only one way to find out…

TonyBet Logbook: What happened so far

  • 2003: The site starts its offer as Omnibet.
  • 2009: Antanas Guoga, poker player, buys Omnibet and rebrands it as TonyBet
  • 08. FEBRUARY 2021: We updated our TonyBet test

Countdown: What you can expect - this is our TonyBet review

We explored every inch of the homepage at TonyBet, finding plenty of links to important sections of the site at the bottom of that page. We found no evidence of any prizes that we could mention in our awards (lab), but there’s plenty else to share here. We spent time in each area of the site, rather than rocketing from one to another and missing the details. We’re going to include the most important features in this segment of our review first. However, it didn’t take us long to realise there were many things that TonyBet takes seriously and gets right as a result.

Is this site safe to use?

If there is one thing that we can say about the TonyBet brand, it’s that it has established itself as a reliable and trusted site since world-famous poker player Tony G took over in 2009. At the bottom of the site, we spotted an 18+ logo and a statement confirming that they forbid underage gambling. We also read that the site is incorporated in Estonia. It gives its full address and registration code for that country. We can then see the licensing and regulatory details for its operator’s license with the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). A quick click through confirms the license status, telling us this is an approved site to use.

Another important area to note before signing up to use TonyBet involves the policies area. This is one of several menu areas at the bottom of the site. That’s where we found these topics:

  • Security and privacy
  • Terms and conditions
  • Betting rules
  • Responsible gambling (more on this in a moment)

It was reassuring to find all those topics handled separately. It makes sense that any player would want to get on and use the site as quickly as possible. However, our suggestion is to go through those policies and terms and conditions first. It’s always the best approach to take.

Responsible gambling

This turns out to be one of seven useful sections on their website. We’ll cover some more of those in the following portions of our review. We liked the fact they’d split this important section into 10 subsections too. It made it far easier for us to find the info we wanted. Among the sections were these topics:

  • Play responsibly
  • Wagering (spend) limits
  • Access to customer history
  • Problem gambling questionnaire

Selecting any of these subtopics gave us a chance to read plenty about that subject. It’s clear that TonyBet takes its responsibilities seriously in this area. They also suggest two parental control services – Net Nanny and CYBERsitter – if any player wishes to make sure their children don’t get online and use the site.

Depositing and withdrawing funds

So, what of the TonyBet deposit methods? There are seven listed on the payment information page, although really there are eight, since they include Visa and MasterCard in the same tab. In accordance with current UK regulations for such sites, these are debit only – credit cards are not accepted. Here are the other available methods members can use:

  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • PayPal
  • Paysafecard
  • paySera
  • ecoPayz

The TonyBet PayPal option is nice to see, as we don’t always spot this online wallet at all the sites we review. The full list of deposit methods confirms that each method is fine to use for TonyBet withdrawal purposes as well. One of the most important things to remember when using the site is that they’ve got a ‘closed loop policy’ in force. It’s easier to understand than it sounds. If we use a method for depositing funds in our TonyBet account, we need to withdraw via that same method. While we can have more than one deposit method on our account, we can only withdraw to the relevant method depending on the one we deposited with.

Showcasing their customer service

Whenever we land at a site like TonyBet, we hope we’ll never need to contact customer service. However, we always make sure we know what’s on offer, how to find and use it, and how reliable it is. We wouldn’t want to know when it’s too late to realise you cannot rely on it. Fortunately, TonyBet gets this part right as well. The first place to go if a query arises is to the FAQ section. This is accessed from the help portion of the menu at the bottom of their website. They’ve given us 16 of the most asked questions to select, so we can read the answer for each.

Once inside the FAQ area, we found it easy to look at the side menu too. At the bottom of the menu (containing all kinds of helpful links), we spotted the contact page. We like to see lots of ways to contact a site like this, but the page itself only has an online form to fill in. However, a little more detective work in this corner of their galaxy revealed an email address at the bottom of the site. There is no live chat at present.

Lift-off: Get a headstart at... TonyBet test

A multi-layered site like TonyBet always makes us a little nervous. Fortunately, we soon realised that we could provide a detailed TonyBet sports betting review and a TonyBet casino review with plenty of positives throughout. Navigation is always vital when visiting a site like this. Fortunately, we have a superb menu taking us to all the main areas, with further submenus for the treats within each section. Come explore with us to see the many positives of using TonyBet.

Exploring the TonyBet mobile site

We love seeing a responsive website and we can confirm the TonyBet site ticks that box. We experimented with some different screen sizes on a computer and the site adjusted to fit each one within seconds. Meanwhile, we had a choice of TonyBet app opportunities too. At the bottom of the site, we could opt for the iPhone download or an Android download depending on our device. This means we can take the site with us via their free app, rather than relying on typing in the URL each time.

Introductory bonuses at TonyBet

There are introductory bonuses available for the casino and the sportsbook. We spotted each bonus in the relevant areas, positioned near the top of those pages. However, we also found information on those deals in the promotions part of the site. This is the last section on the main menu listed across the top of any page we were on. It’s the best way to check the full suite of bonuses at TonyBet at present.

The TonyBet sports betting bonus offers 100% on the first deposit. It uses the TonyBet bonus code TONY50 because the maximum amount of bonus cash offered is £50 or the equivalent in euros if depositing via that currency. Depositing with that code triggers the bonus. The sportsbook bonus is valid for in-play and pre-match wagers. There is a 10x wagering requirement on the deposit. This must be completed within 10 days. Minimum qualifying odds to count towards that requirement are 1.65. Full terms are listed below the information on this bonus.

Meanwhile, the casino bonus is also worth 100% on top of the first amount a new account is funded for. It appears there is a no deposit bonus first though, as players receive 10 welcome spins when joining the site. Further to this, the first deposit does get 100%. This time though, the maximum is £300 in bonus funds. They also add another 50 spins to the deal. RESOLUTION300 is the bonus code needed to get the deposit offer, but no code is mentioned for the initial 10 spins. They list the wagering requirements as 35x for winnings on those welcome spins.

Should we expect other TonyBet casino and bookmaker bonuses?

Yes, and these appear in the ongoing promotions section with the welcome offers. While those appear at the top, we also spotted three other offers to consider. A weekly cashback offer is first, with 5% cashback delivered to all players making real wagers in the sportsbook or at the casino. This works out at 5% of all losses in that week, applicable to settled bets (rather than those still on the bet slip, for example). Cashback is calculated and credited to the player’s account every Tuesday.

They also displayed an offer for casino regulars. There are three parts to this:

  1. 100 spins on the Starburst slot on Tuesday
  2. 100 spins on the Berryburst slot on Thursday
  3. One spin on their Wheel of Fortune on Saturday

A real money deposit qualifies the player for these deals. The terms and conditions state when each deposit must be made by to qualify for the sets of spins. It’s vital to use the free spins quickly, as they’re only available for the day they’re awarded on. So, the Tuesday spins go from 00.01 GMT to 23.59 GMT that same day, for example.

The Wheel of Fortune spin could net the player up to 100 spins to use on the Gonzo’s Quest slot too. That’s another popular game to check out in the casino.

Finally, TonyBet promoted a Drops and Wins casino campaign. This takes place daily with a prize pool worth £2 million. There is a separate casino area including all the games in the Drops and Wins category (they’re all from Pragmatic Play). Players must opt into the game to participate in the competition. We tried this and found we could play the games as usual. Opting in meant we also became part of the competition, with a chance to score some prizes. There are fixed prize drops and others with various multipliers involved, so the potential is huge.

Exploring the TonyBet horse racing arena

The site had labelled the horse racing area as new when we visited the TonyBet bookmaker for our guide (gym). But as with all areas of this site, we found it a breeze to work out what was happening and when. The default page of info takes us to the next races, listing them beneath the submenu in that section. We’ve then got countries to look at, so we can soar toward all the upcoming races if we have no preference or choose the country of interest. For example, it took just a second to select UK races for places like Newcastle and Wolverhampton.

Another great touch here, and something we loved to see, was the bold title for the horse’s name, with the jockey in regular type underneath. And better still was the inclusion of a logo for the colours of that rider. Simple, effective, and eye-catching within the overall design of the site. Our TonyBet sports betting test certainly scores highly, especially as the horse racing segment is new. Finding the TonyBet odds for any race that catches our eye is straightforward.

The bet slip appears to the right of the race information. We need to log in to use it, of course, but we found we could add bets to the slip even before this. It’s fast to choose a bet and confirm it before completing the wager. We can also go through and view the information for a full race, with all runners, riders, and info relating to that event and location. Not only has TonyBet thought of everything, but they’ve also arranged it in a way that makes sense.

Tonybet Sports Betting

Exploring the range of TonyBet sports betting possibilities

The first thing we noticed when looking at the sporting part of the TonyBet betting offer was that they’ve separated the sports area and the in-play areas. In-play relates to live matches and events, with all current sports taking place live displayed across the top of that section. These are not displayed in any order, but you’ll see an icon representing each one. A tennis ball, a basketball, a cricket bat and ball, and so on.

We could orbit around all the live matches and games in any sport, seeing the latest scores and viewing the odds for each one. They’re quite clear over the various bets for each event as well, although we think it’s worth spending some time looking around and seeing how various sports differ in the available wagers and odds you can get. The most impressive element of the in-play area became obvious in this part of our TonyBet test. We appreciated how much information they gave us, all within a logical design on the screen. Most impressive.

Moving on to the main TonyBet sports betting online area now, we liked the search facility right at the top of the left-justified column of sports. We could also adjust the upcoming events, so we could choose the time frame for forthcoming sporting clashes we wanted to see on the screen. We could also see how many live matches were happening, with a one-click link through to that section. Aside from the big list of sports (not in any specific order), we spotted a ‘popular today’ segment at the top of the list. This was ideal if we were curious to see matches and events other people were looking at betting on.

Selecting a sport gave us the chance to check out all events within that sport. We were reassured to see the lists included lesser events and not just the main ones. For instance, when we put together this report on TonyBet for our bookmaker reviews section, the Australian Open tennis Grand Slam was taking place. Yet aside from that, we could also look for ATP Challenger events. Ideal if we want to follow a favourite player around the world to bet on them in different events.

As before, the bet slip appears to the right of the screen and we can check on it whenever we wish. Select any match or event and we can see the various bets available for it too. They give us money line, handicaps, totals, match winner, and so on. One final thing to mention – at the bottom of the site, next to the download invites for Android and iOS, we spotted a 1/2 dropdown box. This reveals decimal, American, and fractional odds, so you can change between them as you wish. Not easy to find, but fine once you know where it is.

Tonybet Casino

Orbiting the TonyBet online casino

Is this the best online casino we’ve seen? For many people zooming around the TonyBet site, their destination will surely be the casino. We certainly came in for a smooth landing at the TonyBet online casino. We spotted several new casino games just underneath the upper portion of the site design. This advertises the TonyBet casino bonus along with various other attractive features of the site and casino offering. Sandwiched between these two areas we find a submenu. This reveals there are games from iSoftBet, Hacksaw Gaming, NetEnt, and Elk Studios, among others. We could also search for specific game types there. All told, they offer over 1,000 casino games. It certainly bodes well for our casino comparison with other similar sites.

We wondered how close TonyBet could get to scoring our best online casino title in our casino comparison lab. It certainly comes close. Every portion of our TonyBet review confirmed that organisation is a big theme at the site. Finding our way around this galaxy of games was far easier than it could have been given a different site design. The submenu allowed us to zoom through to the games from a named developer. Alternatively, we could see only the new games or the promo slots or even those with bonus features.

It’s not just about slots at TonyBet, although most of their games do fit into that category. We found 38 table games as well, with dice, roulette, baccarat, Oasis poker, Texas Hold ‘Em, and several more options as well. Games such as blackjack and roulette also had variations to look through. And as with all games at the casino, we needed to log in to be able to try them. This adheres to the current regulations for UK gambling sites, which is reassuring to know.

We’ve also got the chance to head into the live casino portion of the site. We cannot always rely on finding any live action at sites like these, so it’s nice to see TonyBet fits the bill. This part of the TonyBet casino experience presents us with some of the available games and tables we can participate in. A quick glance at these reveals that Evolution Gaming is behind the games. This is a positive sign as they’re a leading light in the live casino gaming area.

There was a good spread of games available in three areas, covering regular games, VIP tables, and starters. The starters area contains the tables with the lowest wagers, offering bets from just 50p. Some have the potential to go far higher with wagers though. Meanwhile, the regular tables begin from £1 per time. The maximum wagers vary depending on the table and game. Speaking of games, we’ve got a pleasant mix of blackjack, roulette, and bacarrat, with one Casino Hold ‘Em title too.

Tonybet Poker

Any chance of some TobyBet poker potential?

Time to analyse the poker offering in our testing lab. We know Antanas Guoga (otherwise known as Tony G) bought the original Omnibet site and converted it into TonyBet, so we’d be surprised if there was no poker available to play. It’s not obvious from the menu, but the live games area is where the poker games appear. We spotted other games there too, with typical titles including War of Bets, baccarat, poker (of course), and Dice Duel.

We can see live countdowns to the upcoming games at the top of the screen. Below that, there is a live image of the dealer, so we can see what the experience is going to be like before we decide to play. We’re asked to login to take part, which is obvious, but we must admit we liked being able to orbit the game collection and to see what the process is like before taking part.

There’s also a useful choice of tabs on the left of the live screen. These cover the following topics:

  • How to play
  • Our dealers
  • Results

We headed into the how to play section and chose ‘bet on poker’ from the dropdown list. We watched a quick video and got a rundown of the game process in written form below that. It’s a great combo we think should appeal to most players, regardless of whether they want poker or another live game.

TonyBet Review: Conclusion

There’s plenty to love about the TonyBet website. While compiling my TonyBet experience report, I thought about how the homepage threw me straight into the action. I loved this, but also felt reassured at how fast it was to speed through to the area I most wanted to visit.

I’ve always felt that any site offering as many features as the TonyBet bookmaker site does run the risk of being confusing to navigate. Not so at TonyBet though. Packed with info and offering a superb all-round presentation, it’s a delight to visit and use any day of the week. Not yet confident enough to jet off on your own?
